R* has no need to fix anything right now for current gen cuz the players keep f*cking more sh*t up. They need to focus on next gen to make sure it's problem free or this will happen all over again.

I wouldnt give up on Xbox One and PS4 quite yet. Hell the game hasnt even been released on them yet and already you're saying that Rockstar has written them off. And why would Rockstar need to focus on next gen when current gen just came out? I highly doubt they will have any SDKs for Xbox Two (or whatever its called) and PS5 for MANY years. Lets see what Rockstar can do with the current gen version of the game before you consign it to the ash heap of history.

No, thier not. 12 months ago they were next gen but now they have been released and are in wide circulation and use. They are now the CURRENT gen.

I can understand your confusion though. People who cant afford current gen systems convince themselves that thier old systems are still the current standard so they dont feel like the poor bastards that they are. Those of us that CAN afford the paltry $400 know the truth.

Technically, since the XB1 and PS4 have been released, they are not next gen. However, in any discussion you see here or elsewhere on the Net they are referred to as next gen because they are the newest consoles on the market and because the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii are still openly supported and viable options. If you asked 95 out of 100 people what the next gen consoles are they would tell you the PS4 and XB1

You also make a somewhat silly argument that people aren't buying the PS4 and XB1 because they can't afford it. That is laughable. I have both but I play my PS3 a lot more simply because there are few PS4 or XB1 exclusives and most of my friends still play their PS3s or 360s.

Oh right, Krank has released his newly edited mod menu. It includes new animations which was previously only to be seen on Xbox. I really hope 1.16 arrives soon and that it will patch most godmodders. Sadly there is nothing to do with modders as they can easily go around a CID ban.

How funny, the common man's uneducated view on the situation.

Why do you think these people hack or glitch? For fun? yes, partly, but another major part is they're driven to do this for a number of reasons. Reason #1 being R*'s carefree attitude to Money glitchers, wallbreaches and their breachers, Glitchers in general etc that means that people know that they can get away with it. Reason #2 is the hideously broken and sh*te economy where noone can afford anything and grinding (to a soul crushing level) is a must. Guess what? These are R* related issues that they could easily have prevented if they actually gave a flying f*ck outside of Cash Card sales to see an easily predictable outcome for the game's future, even by you, the common bystander, if you didn't always point the finger to the people who did it and actually realised what made them do it.

I got spawned into the torture room from singleplayer, along with the rest of the lobby, I was forced onto my knees with my hands behind my head (along with everyone else) except this one guy who was standing there trying to kill us, I left as soon as i could.

Also the amount of god mode people has reached an all time high, I'm not even in a bad sport lobby and this one lobby there was at least 5-7 people on god mode. I ran over one guy in my tank 4 times when he was in god mode, he tried going back to the sh*tty garage again, but my tank was parked right in front of it, and I blasted every single person into smthereens who tried coming close.

Not sure if this disaster is on xbox as well, but ps3 is AWFUL to play right now. Update needed ASAP

The game still has potential. Have you by chance heard of a series called GTA V O'Clock? They used to do a series of livestreams where they'd come up with ideas for stuff to do, get a bunch of people together and give it a go. Even if they didn't pan out, it usually ended up being funny (at least from a viewer's perspective). Online will always be fun as long as you can find a group of like-minded people who aren't arseholes.

I joined a DM "on call" the other day and it put me into one of those 100000rp matches. I actually thought it was fun - everyone was armed with a knife and it was a big rush to see who could escape the cage (there was a special technique to climbing onto the container to get out) and mow everyone down with MGs. Haven't played many of the other ones though

I haven't bought a PS4 yet because I'm still playing GTAO. Plus most of the next-gen (yeah, NEXT-GEN) games are PS3/360 ports or indie titles. Even the next-gen version of GTA is a port.

When good games start being exclusive to PS4 /XB1 that's when I'll make the switch.

i keep hearing all about godmoders this money glitchers that, modders the other.

yet for the past month i can count all my encounters with any of those in one hand. in fact i can do it with one finger. to me it seems like people here exaggerate the problem that these cheaters are. not that i support them though.

I have to say I agree with this, but then maybe we're just lucky. I join open lobbies all the time and hardly ever encounter any hackers / Gods.

Microsofts computers are the worlds most used OS (whether it be Windows, Xbox, Windows Phone etc.) and as most of us know Hackers target Microsoft's OS more than any other OS.

So when people say Xbox has less hackers JUST REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THE Xbox 360 then rethink your comment!

It took around 4 years for PSN to get hacked whereas Xbox 360 got hacked within 2 years of when it came out.

And Sony know more about building consoles than Microsoft why cause the first Xbox came out when the PS2 came out Sony were already ONE Console Ahead and still are To Be Honest Microsoft have 3 consoles (Xbox, 360, One), Sony have 4 (need i say the consoles since everyone knows them) + the handheld ones.

Cause we all know they wont listen to what we say to them and complaining on here about it wont do anything either the best thing to do is to make Rockstar aware of the problem.

Yes I hear and see all the talk about Rockstar playing live game sessions with the so-called modders etc, but maybe they are doing it to catch them in the act of modding.

i have only saw one hacker on xbox, and that was months ago. so i think its safe to say that xbox gets less hackers than psn.

The Playstation has more hackers. Point blank.

Since you have to pay for live, people are less inclined to do mod menu on xbox. If you want to do it. it will cost you a hundred bucks or more.

Explain to me how they fix it.

Protection of modified files. Hell, download the mod menu and check how it's made then block that stuff or whatever. I dunno. Shouldn't be impossible to fix this regarding Online.

That's my point. We don't know how to fix it. We just b*tch at them for not fixing it. That is where the term Monday morning quarterback comes from.

It's their game. It should not be impossible to fix something as this. It may be hard, yes, but it should not be impossible. Except this stuff has been going around since Day 1. Just now more often than we'd like.

Agreed. I bet it is impossible though. I have no idea how many programmers are trying to fix this but there are thousands of glitchers trying new things everyday. Not good odds for Rockstar.

Let me put it to you this way.

You are Rockstar. You have made this game and you have invested a lot of time in doing so. You have issues with the system when it is released so you strive to fix them. During this time people are going around and exploiting things that are broken.

You fix these issues and not even a day later a new money glitch/wall breach/teleport method has been discovered. You spend time fixing this.

You fix these issues again and not even a day later someone finds another way to do the money glitch/wall breach/teleport method. You spend more time fixing this.

You fix these issues for a third time and not even a day later someone finds another way to do the money glitch/wall breach/teleport method. During this time when you are trying to fix these latest issues you are working on fixing the potential problems that have arisen with Heists due to said glitches and everyone is complaining about them not being released.

So you fix all these issues and you finally think to yourself that it is all solved. Boom, Mod Menus. Well sh*t, now what. You have a community of gamers bitching and crying about all this content that they were promised when all you seem to do is fix problems within the game that the GAMING COMMUNITY is causing.

How much effort, after all this time, would you put into supporting a game that you try to fix for the community, when less than 24 hours later the community has found a way to break again. If I was Rockstar I would let it die and move on to the next game.

The only way to fix online is to make it pay to play with a monthly subscription and have dedicated servers that can detect and auto-ban anyone doing of the things that are breaking the game. ie. god mode, mod menu, money glitching.

You will always have those kind of people. No matter what. But they do indeed need to have something to detect and autoban cheaters like that. Although for money glitching you should receive an insta warning, if you ignore it, THEN get banned. Seeing as that is not as game breaking for anyone else but yourself.

We are not a company with brains of five or ten or twenty programmers. Rockstar created this game, they got programmers. Now us, the users, are giving feedback to it and we demand fix. Rockstar as the creator of this game should and must work with their programmers on how to troubleshoot the case. This is their job, for f*ck's sake. If they don't want to troubleshoot it, then they should retire from game industry.
