On point of leading sheep Wh1t. R* are pretty bad shepherds if they think that intimidation draws the flock. It repels them. Also, sheep and cattle aren't as easily lead as you think.

 

In an open field with only an angry shepherd the flock is easily broken and lost. A lazy shepherd is just as unfortunate as no amount of lure to the shepherd can draw the heart of a sheep lost to another master. Only with patience a encouragement through protection and the lure of safe and fresh pasture will a sheep be lead. Through fear and panic will they be driven. A bad shepherd stays with one over the other and either in time or in haste will lose their flock. Only with help from others, be they man, sheep or a loyal companion may they lead and drive the flock.

 

But to where and to whom? If the shepherd spends too much time on stray lambs, the wolves will invariably eat his flock, but should he abandon the lamb, he will see a smaller flock the following season. Should he stay in the same pasture for fear of loss or failure the sheep will surely starve and die off, but should he risk moving his sheep though danger to fresh pasture and risk his flock falling to ill and evil.

 

There is no ideal time for such things as danger and need are ever present and only the natural course of things will govern pace. A good shepherd must always be ready to move and protect for it is not the shepherd that governs his hand. It is the flock that he protects and serves.

 

 

As for free pc gaming Krushology is right. ISP (usually the landline and/or phone service provider) are often the only fee, but it's still paid access. After that there is rarely a fee (see Pay to Play thread).

I will throw a brief curve here and say one thing for some modders on PC. Content creation is easier on pc and some of the 'unofficial' content the modders make in terms of cars and visual mods are exceptional and very welcome. An advocacy for modding I know, but good can come of ill even if a lot of modders are talentless kiddies just dicking about. Modding is inevitable, but tighter control is needed as well as an ever present eye that R* keep taking of the ball.

 

 

@ sp3ial_h3rbs and others: if GTAO is dead then why wait for anything such as another version of the same thing. There is nothing left by your reckoning, so why waste the effort. Go find something else to occupy your time. (Not having a go at the sentiment, just the logic of your expression. It confuses me).

Online was supposed to have a 5 year shelf life... Wouldn't surprise me if it was completely dead by the end of the calendar year.

This game had so much potential. Then the players ruined it time and time again. I'm sure the self-entitled assholes will continue to whine about no new FREE dlc coming out after every Tuesday

While I do agree with you in a sense. You assume that people dont buy them because they cant affrd them. In reality most people dont buy them because they are consoles. You are still limited to what you can do. At the end of the day console are sh*t and you can build a PC 2 times stronger for the same price so only a retard would even consider getting one in the first place

It is clear from the link that XBL is just as prone. I love the sanctimonious ignorance that because Xbox charge a fee for online access that hackers and modders haven't somehow bypassed such limited security as a subscription and fee. As for security via consoles Microsoft may have done it better than Sony, but in no way has it been impossible for some to break either. The internet in general is so full of hacked and malicious programming it is a surprise it hasn't been shut down for maintenance more often. What companies with experience of online connectivity do is run both real time and periodic maintenance of their product to check for reports, anomalies and blatant hacking. R* clearly haven't invested in this idea and until they do, both the PS4/XBO/PC versions will be just as prone to hacking and modding.

 

P.S my ISP provides incredibly limited security yet I pay them for internet access. Windows and Norton (not the best but not the worst) are the only protection I have beyond common sense, with Norton bought for a one off fee and Widows as part of the price of the computer. In short, paid access and service does not imply better security, just a fee charged by a provider to use their service.

One of the reasons Xbox Live is better, For £40 a year you get a high security gaming experience while on the PS3 online is free in exchange for even the slightest bit of security.

Neither Microsoft or Sony does jack **** in regards to GTA, it's ROCKSTARS servers and ROCKSTAR job to deal problem.

 

Microsoft and Sony jobs are to keep the services open and deal with hacks to XBL and PSN. Hackers on a game server like GTA is the complete responsibility of the game devoloper and/or publisher.

i built a pc for £550, thats near the price of a brand new xbox one for the first 3 months they were out.
