One of the reasons Xbox Live is better, For £40 a year you get a high security gaming experience while on the PS3 online is free in exchange for even the slightest bit of security.

i keep hearing all about godmoders this money glitchers that, modders the other.

 

yet for the past month i can count all my encounters with any of those in one hand. in fact i can do it with one finger. to me it seems like people here exaggerate the problem that these cheaters are. not that i support them though.

Hopefully the reason Rockstar has not been giving enough attention to the PS3/360 is because they are busy working on the PS4/ONE version so when it comes out, there is no glitching or bugs and we can finally play this damned game without any problem and constant crying.

Just like how a couple years ago, the entirety of PSN was taken down for a couple of weeks by hack attack. Nothing like this ever happened with Xbox.

Was in a lobby with about four of them today, they are out there, its not something that is being made up.

There arent as many modders as one would beleive. But with all of the god mode monkeys running around, it's hard for the average person to differentiate. Yes OP GTA is poisioned, and the by the looks of things R* won't be producing a vaccine anytime soon.

Online was supposed to have a 5 year shelf life... Wouldn't surprise me if it was completely dead by the end of the calendar year.

R* has no need to fix anything right now for current gen cuz the players keep f*cking more sh*t up. They need to focus on next gen to make sure it's problem free or this will happen all over again.

This game had so much potential. Then the players ruined it time and time again. I'm sure the self-entitled assholes will continue to whine about no new FREE dlc coming out after every Tuesday

Rockstar deserves the majority of the blame for not supporting, not properly testing, and overpromising on what online was going to be. Players deserve their share of the blame too, but don't act like Rockstar isn't a major part of this problem.

If you were a lead guy at R* would you keep throwing money at this game trying to fix it when players will just find more ways to break it again? I for sure wouldn't anymore. They made 2billion off sales. Their business plan took into account cash card sales. I've never bought one and prob never will, some players do for their own reasons. But as it stands currently they throwing more money away trying to fix things than the amount of money they are bringing in. I wouldn't do it anymore, I would focus on something else. I'd cut my losses and move on. I cannot hate on R* for doing the same now.

This was an innovative game. What they tried to do was never done before. Just because they made their money on sales doesn't mean are obligated to throw it all away to fix the things the players are breaking. I would use this game as a learning experience for next gen.

It's a good thing you're not a business owner. Your philosophy is to release a broken product, then abandon it once you get your money? Yeah. That's a sure fire recipe for success (not to mention repeat business). Again, it's not the players breaking it. It's Rockstar not having a solid, patched code upon release, and then dragging their feet once bugs/glitches are exposed.

It's R*, the creator of arguably the greatest video game franchise of all time. Gta IV went to sh*t and they moved on. They recorded record sales for V. They will move on from this and make an even better game. That game will either be V for next gen or VI. And I guarantee they will have repeat business after moving on. The "sheep", myself included, will buy the next product hoping its better. But it won't be better if they continue trying to fix this one just to have the players break it again. Only thing I can hope for is gta V for current gen was the testing stage for next gen.

Take your pitiful attempt at trolling and stick it up your ass. SAUL_SILVER has made a pretty relevant point in contrast to the PS3 is poisoned nature of this thread. It is clear from the link that XBL is just as prone. I love the sanctimonious ignorance that because Xbox charge a fee for online access that hackers and modders haven't somehow bypassed such limited security as a subscription and fee. As for security via consoles Microsoft may have done it better than Sony, but in no way has it been impossible for some to break either. The internet in general is so full of hacked and malicious programming it is a surprise it hasn't been shut down for maintenance more often. What companies with experience of online connectivity do is run both real time and periodic maintenance of their product to check for reports, anomalies and blatant hacking. R* clearly haven't invested in this idea and until they do, both the PS4/XBO/PC versions will be just as prone to hacking and modding.

 

P.S my ISP provides incredibly limited security yet I pay them for internet access. Windows and Norton (not the best but not the worst) are the only protection I have beyond common sense, with Norton bought for a one off fee and Widows as part of the price of the computer. In short, paid access and service does not imply better security, just a fee charged by a provider to use their service.
