GTA Online Has Becomes Poisoned on the PS3

I can't join a single free mode without running into an invincible player or Zentoro. Deathmatches are all custom, unarmed fights with silly "1,000,000 cash, 5,000,000 RP" type titles, but something happened today that is an all new low.

 

I came across 3 players on the street. 2 were standing around watching a 3rd who was doing pushups. They see me and all ran over. I pull my shotgun and start blasting one in the face, but he just stands there. Then, all of a sudden, my character goes into the busted animation and kneels on the ground. I can't move, I'm frozen. My buddy ran me over and I stood up, only to discover that all my weapons were gone.

 

The level of hacking and cheating in this game have reached Red Dead levels (but this is after Red Dead was out for over 2 years and Rockstar had moved on from supporting it as much). I'm very disappointed in how they've let this run rampant.

 

Yes I know it's just a game, but it's something I'm interested and passionate about because I like this game. Share your stories here or comment.

Yeah, I've seen lots of invicible players. Will just ignore public lobbies altogether untill the next update.

Online was supposed to have a 5 year shelf life... Wouldn't surprise me if it was completely dead by the end of the calendar year.

R* has no need to fix anything right now for current gen cuz the players keep f*cking more sh*t up. They need to focus on next gen to make sure it's problem free or this will happen all over again.

This game had so much potential. Then the players ruined it time and time again. I'm sure the self-entitled assholes will continue to whine about no new FREE dlc coming out after every Tuesday

It's because some modders who got ability to edit scripts released mod menus then others added some features to it and they released it to the public

They are using scripts and also R* is using scripts to stop them .

If they can use scripts then they can bypass what R* did to some scripts to stop them .

I have it on 360 as well, but my brother and a lot of work friends only have PS3 so I play on there.

Even though it sucks having to pay, I am sort of looking forward to swtiching over to PS4 , hopefully it wont be as bad.

This game is sooooo on life support, I bet R* let this happen for another week so people who lost money can buy Kash Kards. I guess they don't care half the fanbase is leaving and moving on to different games. Its funny how the Xbox fanboys use this to jump at PS. Must be butt they have to pay $60 a year.

Rockstar deserves the majority of the blame for not supporting, not properly testing, and overpromising on what online was going to be. Players deserve their share of the blame too, but don't act like Rockstar isn't a major part of this problem.

OP I can understand most of your complaints, but... what do Zentoros have to do with this? They're just vehicles. Most players have enough money to purchase one right now.

I'm on Xbox, and I've never come into contact with a mod menu hacker.

 

Only glitchers.

 

PS3 may be free, but is way more open to hackers. Just like how a couple years ago, the entirety of PSN was taken down for a couple of weeks by hack attack. Nothing like this ever happened with Xbox.

 

But, hey, they're practically the same console. Just different controllers, exclusives, and more security for one you have to pay for.

Does no good when they are in god mode coming from a gta:o veteran u have 2 options....1) quick passive mode and air thrust, or 2) if u are high enough level get a tank + off the radar and sit on god modder for 10 seconds until he dies and loses said god mode

I did both today, went passive, then went and got my tank and was able to make one leave.
