you guys need to take some cues from body harvest:

it was produced by the same company (dma games/rockstar north) and while I've never played it, gta 3 seems to borrow a lot from it, basic gameplay-wise. there's driving, shooting, a wide array of vehicles ranging from boats to tanks, health pickups, large areas to explore (radar included), and different weapons to choose from. hell, even just reading the wikipedia page makes the similarities to the 3d gta games all the more obvious:

The use of vehicles is a key aspect of this game. Vehicles provide significant protection from alien attacks and allow the player to travel at a far greater speed than on foot. Specific vehicles are often required to advance - for example, boats allow travel over bodies of water, while planes and helicopters allow travel through the air. Vehicles range from mundane civilian forms of transport to powerful military hardware - the player will pilot tanks, armored cars and aircraft as frequently as cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Buildings also contain health pickups, new weapons other than your standard Pistol are a Machine gun, Shotgun, Rifle and Rocket launcher that each use different types of ammunition.

it should also be noted that at the very beginning of 3's development, an engine similar to that of body harvest's was used as a testing ground for the game. I believe that because it's made by the same company, it's not against the rules either to rip content from it to use as a base. and considering the similarities to the look of gta 3's alpha and this game's art assets, it could serve as very good inspiration for how R* would've made a 3d gta game on the n64. food for thought

That's exactly what I told them, but I'm not too sure Body Harvest's too compatible with GTA 3, heck, not to mention, on PC.

Also, I agree on the last one, Body Harvest was, indeed, the base of GTA 3. The lighting in this game was close to GTA3's alpha one.

GTA3 also had a lot of timecyc leftovers from Body Harvest, by that, I mean colours and weather effects.

Damn, just saw the updates. Now that's some progress there, mate. Although I'd call it 'Cartoonish Mod' instead of N64 simply due to GTA 3 being waaay far off from the N64. Still, good job!

Could you please remove the cop car? You no longer have permission to use it (For now).

This is starting off well now. Looking somewhat cartoonish, make sure to handle the buildings too, models/textures. Other than that, nice! :)

I'm glad to tell you guys, this mod isn't dead! I have been really really busy with the mod last days! And I have fantastic news about the mod to show! Since i lose my partners I'm now working alone and the progress is a bit slow but... Anyways talking about the news:

- Red light district is done!

- All maindrag blocks are done too!

- Hospital is done!

- newbuild and saint mark's are almost done!

- And much more to come!

Unfortunatly Doc1985 removed the permission for the police car, but no problem there are some solutions...

Im thinking about to release the second version of the mod in middle of november!

I will update the topic with pics and more thingys!

Ohh and thanks for the feedback u guys are awesome!

Take care!
