Snacks. How useful are they?

I find them especially useful in death matches and whilst doing missions. I feel they're far too overlooked by the majority.

Lol, I had one person watching me when they died in a mission send me a PSN message calling me a cheater because I 'hacked my health the max' when I used an Egobooster or two. It's amazing how ignored snacks are.

i cant help but think that people are thinking im cheating when they see my armor go back up in survival mode. i dont wanna get reported because people dont know what features are in the game.

(snacks can be useful.. but not as much as multiple body armor)

Usefully in survival's and missions, not so much in deathmatches since its a headshot race. Silly that I can hold 9,999 rounds of ammo for 16 guns but can only hold 10 armored and 10 snacks.

Wish my armor would automatically equip upon death though.

Snacks after being shot with a sniper really help, gives you a chance to get that non-fatal shot twice and get to a better spot. I use em any time I'm battling someone.

One of the worst things in this game is to go to your quick inventory menu and find out you're out of snacks...

PlasmicSnake

I overlooked them for awhile but they are a must in survival. It took me a few times to realize i needed to spawn in my apt cause everytime Id spawn randomly I was eating my snacks which was annoying.

Retired Mafia

you have to use them!

you can't just walk into a store and be like, hey i want money. no you gotta spend money first so you can say: hey! i want my money back, he'll be ok with that.

and yes, they're incredible, much better than those body armors made of plastic.

I hate it when I'm PVP with someone and they're snacking away behind cover. Don't get me wrong I do the same, just makes them really hard to kill.

you have no idea how many times those ego chasers and the other snacks have made the difference in freeroam battles!

anyone else had trouble using the snacks in cover with the "quick action" buttons, (both sticks)??

it seems to only work sometimes for me, or are you guys just going into the inventory menu each time?

Many have already said that they heal all (bullet) wounds, and this, they do.

What I don't get (and I posted this in the one "Rockstar Online Logic" thread) is why I can carry 82 P's & Q's, 77 Egochasers, and something like 112 smokes, yet the maximum number of Meteorites I can carry is five.

I mean, logically speaking, of course.

use the inventory menu. Why waste an ego chaser when all you need is a p&q. Also do it while sighting your weapon. Finding cover to do it is just a pain.

ok thanks, oh didn't realize they gave you different amounts of health?

Yes they are pretty useful. You can refill your health in seconds if you go to cover.

They're very useful, but like with most things, there will be people who exploit them I.E eating while shooting at someone, so while they are shooting at you, you just fill your health up faster than they deplete your health. There is no way they should be able to do that. Eating when in cover, fine, hell even eating underwater is fine though weird, but to be able to fill health the same time as you are shooting at someone and getting shot at is ridiculous.

Other that that, they're great.

It is daft that the situation you describe can theoretically happen, but I like to think that if I'm shooting somebody who's just standing there topping their health up it's not going to be long before they're dead on the floor.

Is it even possible to aim, shoot and snack at the same time? If it is then I'm pretty sure your ability to PVP successfully would be more than a bit impaired.

It has happened to me on several occasions, and was extremely annoying. It only seems to work if they are not close enough for an effective shotgun range, or to far for an effective headshot, so you you have to whittle their health down, but nooo they have a "magical health button."

Imagine this (in an auto aim lobby, it wouldn't happen so much in free aim lobbies, and no I'm not arguing for either setting) there is no cover for them, you lock on, and he/she locks on, but it not feasible to headshot them or use close range weapons, you both start shooting, maybe you start shooting first I.E you'll win the gun fight, BUT because its autoaim and he/she is locked on, he/she no longer has to aim the gun and starts spamming the X/A button to eat snacks while shooting at you, and thus you lose the gunfight. It happens quickly but you definitely know when it happens as the health bar spazzes and you see it deplete and refill.

Oh, they can also refill health while rolling too. Forgot to mention that.

This has to be an unintentional feature on R*'s part, refilling health while you are shooting.

Egochaser's saved my life on so many different occasions that I can't even count them all up. I find snacks more useful than body armor.

I feel like snacks are one of the more overlooked items in GTA Online. Do you find them helpful/useful?

I use them in missions and even in freemode as well as armour

The 17th Ninja

I use them extensively, along with the Armor. I can navigate and use both the Interaction Menu and Phone mid game-play via my peripheral vision. It's necessary so I can go into cover and munch on snacks in the middle of a gunfight.

If you're in a mission being shot at while driving, snacks can make you almost semi-invincible as you instantly replenish health when using them. Very helpful.

Very!

Fill up on Egochasers and (Whatever this one's called). If you can't be bothered paying do a Survival, You get free armor at the start of every round and if you collect all the enemy drops you'll have near enough 30 P&Q's by the time you finish.

Anyone else think it's kind of weird that your character can eat about 8 P&Q's without throwing up.

I love how kill a cop or a random ped, they randomly drop a snack.

"+1 Snack" lol.

But they are really useful. Especially Ego Chasers. They come in handy in Death Matches and Missions. Same thing with Body Armors.

P's an Q's are life saver...I start every session at a store to stock up...so if any of you wonder why I'm hard as hell to kill....P's&Q's baby! P's&Q's! I can carry 130 so far...I don't know what gets that number to increase though.

Armour costs $$$ and lasts one shot. Snacks practically make you invincible in missions and cost almost nothing.
