I feel like snacks are one of the more overlooked items in GTA Online. Do you find them helpful/useful?

As Doktor said (fitting name): VERY useful. Snacks are cheaper than armor and you can use them multiple times quickly when in cover. Want to make your money wasted on snacks back? Just rob the store you bought the snacks at! Also, vending machines, especially in the survival Boneyard are the best "outside in the game world" interaction there is. Just one e-cola fills up your whole life bar (I believe). You need money on you, though.

When you're in a Survival and can't reach a health pack.

(TIP: R2 to take cover, then eat the snack or drink. It won't show the animation and you get instant health.)

I find them especially useful in death matches and whilst doing missions. I feel they're far too overlooked by the majority.

Very. Anyone who thinks they're useless is a moron.

Yes and you can throw pepole who when restarting mission (RR) don't equip new armour into that category.

I couldn't even begin to tell you how many times they have saved me.

Egochaser is love, Egochaser is life (literally)

Edit- and pro tip (that I got from this forum): if you hold down the X/A button when you select a snack to eat, your character will take multiple bites (instead of just one when you just push the button) giving you a little bit of extra health from each snack

Lol, I had one person watching me when they died in a mission send me a PSN message calling me a cheater because I 'hacked my health the max' when I used an Egobooster or two. It's amazing how ignored snacks are.

I use 'em a lot, R1 on a wall or something and you'll eat 'em instantly, good if you 1v1 and have low hp while you killed 'im.

If that guy reported you, I would question his sanity.

Extremely.

When you remember to use them that is. I usually completely forget.

OP You ask how usually they are? Well lets just say that they have saved my ass when doing missions & especially survival when things start to get TURNT UP.

One of the most useful things in the entire game. I can't count how many times I've seen my teammates in missions die when they could've easily survived by using snacks. You can replenish your health in less than a second by taking cover or driving, so you don't have to wait for an animation to happen. If you're being chased while driving, eating/drinking the stuff is close to god mode as the enemies will shoot dozens of bullets without killing you.

Nah, I just told him about snacks, his reply back was like I'd taught him how to be a god or something. The funny thing is, that was my response when my friend first explained snacks to me. lol

They are cheap health packs, so they are extremely useful. I think a lot of players don't know what they are really for. But they've kept me alive in numerous missions I have to carry cause scrubs have died to often and too soon.

Doesn't have to be in cover. Try eating snacks through the quick menu while:

1. Looking down sights of a weapon (LT)

2. In a vehicle

3. Underwater

All of those scenarios I find to be extremely useful

;) for sure, I costantly have to use some of them at the start because i went on call and got a 5* chase goin on. So many po po keeps the weak away.
