Any of you guys freezing when driving at mid to high speeds?

It happens so f*cking much now. It will freeze for about 5 seconds and then it will unfreeze eventually causing me to lag behind. Others just drive right past me while I freeze like a bitch and lag behind. Textures are struggling to load as well.

It's funny... That the actual top speed you can achieve in GTA Online is no more than 125mph.

Guys if this is happening on Xbox, you can fix it by installing the install disc to a USB, and the play disc to the hard drive itself. I had it the other way around and it was freezing for 3,4 sometimes up to 10 seconds at a time. Now I get zero freezing, no matter how fast I'm going.

Started happening around three updates ago, before that it never happened for me.

 

Obviously its an issue if this many people are experiencing it.

I'm having this problem too I'm thinking the reason for for mine is that the vents may be clogged but I was told that the Xbox 360 Elite has an extra fan that prevents this or something extra anyway.

 

It could just be your connection when I race in online with a bad connection I tend to lag at high speeds. Try resetting your router and/or moving it closer to your console.

 

If you've done that and your getting the same thing try clearing the vents.

 

If the problem still occurs it's just Rockstar's crappy overloaded textures .

Well I had the same problem back in March and I did this. Ever since then I never had another freezing problem again.

 

 

I don't constantly freeze, but I get those moments where you think you are and not to mention the slowly loading textures because the game can't handle me going 120mph in my Elegy.

My game has been freezing since March, reason why I stopped playing this crap game. I log in my sh*t freezes within 2mins, I can't drive/walk into my garage without the game freezing. It took me close to 2hrs to buy all the new clothes from the last update. After patch 1.11 the game is been complete sh*t. I purchased a PS3 back in Oct solely for GTA5, after this experience i'm sticking to PC GAMING. Before PS3 I had N64

Purchased Brand New I'm about to try this see if it helps

This is the only game that freezes all my other games never freeze.

Edit: it's not a connection problem I only play with the ethernet port connected no WIFI!! And i'm on FIOS! The game was working perfectly fine until the patch that removed tank sniping.

Hmm... idk tbh. I mean I've frozen before on games like BF3 on 1k tickets at Oman Beach or gulf whatever it's called and here too... mostly because the PS3 can't handle games like BF3, BF4 or GTA V.

Okay yeah I can feel you on this cause to be honest with you. When I go over 120mph in my Turismo. The buildings start to look like invisible walls, including the street lights. So I feel you there.

I was going to go the PS4 route, but the way things are nowadays PC is the way to go for me. It was cool playing video games(GTA) after a 14 year hiatus..lol

I'm not even mad anymore about the freezing, I just play 2k all day everyday now. I purchased watchdogs and bf4 and they both collect dust.

console limitations. Old GPU loads textures very slowly, and it needs time to catch up (freeze)

 

NOT THIS!!! because all of us who've played SP mode have never had it freeze while driving, and we can go faster, GPU works great.

 

if its happening in free roam chances are its not console related, your on R* servers in free roam. (but your connection could still lag)

 

if its happening in races and missions its a P2P issue with either someones connection or a console maxed out by all players activities at once

Exactly, i wish people had more critical thinking skills. He thinks how he arrived at his conclusion is logical.

 

If a dirty console can't be the problem why do i know a bunch of people who have 100% fixed it by cleaning their machine? I routinely clean mine and i literally never freeze. If the game was the only problem, why dont i freeze? There are many causes of freezing, but it is curable if you figure out what is causing yours. But you must believe! We are redlining these consoles, some may not survive the battle...

well looks like everyones been brainwashed by microsoft and sony so that you think every lag or slowness issue is your internet.

xbox 360 has a £20 gpu, 500 something MB of ram, a bad processor thats about £30 and a crappy fan.

 

the iphone 5 has 1gb of ram. so theres the rams sh*tness explained.

 

and the gpu and processor in the xbox 360 is basically the xbox brand version of the gpu and processors in my schools computers which are really old.

 

 

and im quite sure the same goes for the ps3

And? What does the Host use? The reason why most other games don't freeze. Because the company probably runs their own server. Rockstar doesn't run anything except a match making server. Hence why modding is possible.
