Why do people glitch and cheat?

2-3 hours doing missions would've netted me what, 2M at best?

If you're lucky.

My experience:

- host job

- wait 1-2 minutes for players to join

- wait for load screens

- job starts

- moron screws mission up

- make like $200

REPEAT 1 or 2 times

- network error

- host job

- wait 1-2 minutes for players to join

- wait for load screens

- job starts

- finish $18K (whipee)
- then repeat the process mixing up a bunch of the above.
So if I'm going to mission grind - I only do it with my partner - and she finds repeating a mission even more boring than I do so it's hard to get past about 5 of them for 90K. I much prefer just doing a random selection of jobs as they come up, and forget about the cash payout. Early on grinding wasn't so bad, quick restart eliminated all of the stupid load screens, and the payout on many jobs was a lot higher so it actually felt rewarding.
I know how much money glitches mess up a game - like RPGs being used as candy, and sticky bombs everywhere, for this reason I know it needs to be patched - but god it's so much more fun not having to think about "Payout" before accepting a job title, and being able to try out modded versions of different vehicles in GTA races without thinking 'how many RR's did I just flush?".
At the end of the day they want you to be buying cash cards, and they've set the game up to encourage this. I've spent $40 already, I'm not going to give them more than that in less than 12 months, and I'm not going to torture myself repeating RR just so I can buy a car :/
A friend of mine was talking to me a few weeks back when I mentioned the hooker glitch, and he said 'thats cheating!' and I said 'yep it is, but you know they sell cash cards in the game store?' he replied 'oh f**k it then'.
NB: I still classify it as 'cheating', I just don't care now, but I make an effort to not use it to screw up other peoples games

Funny how people think that glitching for money is ok because they cant be bothered to do missions or w/e...

You dont realise your a big part of the problem, do you?

Its not only lazyness at its finest but it puts the economy of the game (the PvP side of things) out of balance. You glitch to get cash for a car or mask or gun or to refill your ammo or buy a buzzard...the average joe who doesnt care to exploit the game to fulfil shallow desires for polygonal produce is playing normally, fairly when he stumbles into a super rich, lazy, entitled mobster who not only has an almost infinite supply of ammo and top notch weaponry but also access to a wide array of vehicles so the outcome is a given. Money glitchers, if so honest about wanting to play with their toys...should realize the drastic change of playing field they impose by doing so and should either opt out of public rooms or realise the rest of the population doesnt want to be spawn killed into a firefight every damn minute. If you played like the legit of us you couldnt afford to keep your ammo at max all the time, throwing stickies out your 200mph bulletproof supercars etc. Dont get me wrong, i like a firefight as much as the next guy but really only on a level playing field...there has to be some chance, you know? at some point ill run out of ammo or youll destroy enough of my cars i cant afford to get them out...does that drive me to glitch free cash. No it just makes me wants to play something where the community is a bit more friendly. No wonder the worlds f*cked!

But Rockstar is also a huge part of the problem for making the missions pay out so little, forcing players to grind. If the game actually rewarded you for playing, I don't think people would be glitching money as much. I think Rockstar is much more to blame for the poor in game economy than the money glitchers.

i did sp-mp on a few cars and ended up in a modders lobbie but they were giving cash instead of being a jerk.

trust me its a lot nicer than sitting there rocking back and fourth doing rooftop rumble and trying to make yourself feel better after the stretch marks from rockstars penis

It's because they are weak minded and also too lazy to put in the regular hard work in the actual game and too lazy to hone in their skills up.

do you really think doing a glitch to upgrade a car is going to destroy all of rockstars current work, programming, modeling, drawing etc and force them to re-make everything because someone upgraded a car?

"weak minded"

stop trying to make yourself feel better.

you're clearly insecure trying to feel better and block out the loss

stop

I am not trying to make myself feel better cause I am one of those people that doesn't like to glitch and cheat to get ahead in the game. If I am insecure because of this action then guess what? So be it. And no I won't stop.

not duping some cars, it's because of the modders and glitchers who make millions and billions of money because of those glitches...

and now since modded Lobbies are back, R* isn't going to release heists till they're down again...

Because they are low lives who suck at everything so they turn to cheating, also they have very small penises so they cheat to try make themselves feel "bigger" ha ha, idiots. it defeats the whole object of gaming...

Boredom plain and simple. Its all the same thing, all games are repetitive. So why spend another 8 hours doing the same mission you've already spent 20+ hours on when you can spend 1 hour doing another monotonous task with a greater reward. The games 10 months old most of us have already done everything 10 times over.

The whole unfair advantage argument made sense the first few months but the majority of people playing are at reasonable levels or rank and skill and the whole 'you have more money than me' is a cop out. If someone kills you 5 times in a row its cause they have more money or they must be cheating. I still don't see how having 10 million dollars lets me kill you mulitple times in a row, or how it makes my car go faster in a race. I can buy different weapons and upgrades that were unlocked by playing the game and earning RP.

Glitching topics have been around since day 1 anything releating to money or RP or god mode glitches are done by pieces of s**t but lets have a 60+ page topic on how awesome it is that we can glitch the radio station tshirts and beer hats. Make up your minds on glitching or keep this forum alive by having it both ways.

"It's a video game"... I love this one. As if implying a game is supposed to be just a 'run around in circles with everything in your pocket' kind of experience...ha!

Or maybe its just, you can't do it. Can't play a video game with others fairly? Sad. If this was Monopoly I bet these fools would want all the money in the bank and own hotels on the most expensive properties before the first shake of the dice. Ya know, cuz they bought the game and to hell with the rules...

Stand proud. You few are like flaming bags of dog poo on society's doorstep. It's a shock at first but just stomp it out and scrape da sh*t off ya shoe, and you fine again.

In a way money glitchers don't bother me because they affect their own gameplay no one else's. Players that don't even try to earn money piss me off! Because they haven't felt the true pain of grinding! I earned myself (legitimately 19+ million) from grinding! Players like me have the right to glitch money but do we? Nope because we're legit gamers

[i did though :D]

I stuck with that opinion for a long time, but eventually threw in the towel.

Just so many nerfs, then the removal of quick restart, then halve msision payouts if you've done it before. Bah.

I'd rather cash-in my "I earned this pride" (which I do appreciate - I had that in the early days), so I can enjoy the rest of the game.

For someone who rarely has 1-2 hours to play in the evenings (life etc) and weekend time is quite valuable - spending hours grinding is not an option, and $40/year is my limit for this game, so either I glitch and enjoy - or I go without using any of the new toys they give us in DLC packs / changing cars etc.

Turkey Shenanigans

Because of Cockstar. They want us to buy cash cards, and we are being milked like f*cking cows for our money.

They down mission pay-outs.

They make Rooftop Rumble take longer to complete

They make Coveted longer to complete

They make the firework launcher 60k, then take it away regardless

They made it so you have to wait 45 minutes between selling cars at LS Customs

They also instantly redirect you to the Playstation Store/Xbox Market when you try to buy something and you don't have enough (weapons, clothes etc.)

Here's my predicament with GTAO:

1) I don't want to grind

2) I don't want to glitch

3) I don't want to ditch

So where does that leave me? Stuck here on these forums with nothing better to do but improve upon my thought processes and/or engage in pointless banter. I'll occasionally go on and actually play, but I'm typically just sitting here dreaming of a better GTAO where there isn't a need to grind/glitch/kesh kurdz to get good cash.

Bleh. Luckily I got some things coming up this week and so I won't really have time to think about all this

They made a all time mistake nerfing the payouts/enforcing cash cards.

Yes payouts are low, but dude I never see it to where people are so strung out on needing cash in game that they're forced to buy cashcards."Well, I'm sorry my family, I can't buy you all dinner because I just HAVE to buy a few cash cards. Sorry, it's out of my hands"

This idea that money glitching is somehow ruining the "GTAO economy" by throwing the game off balance is complete B.S.

I have money IRL. I buy cash cards. I don't "earn" my GTA$, I'm doing to you all what Ronald Reagan did to the Soviets: I'm spending your azzes into bankruptcy. You can grind for weeks, and I'll just drop another $100 on another Megalodon Card. I can afford it.

I'm ruining the game, wrecking your experience and completely tipping the balance of the "economy."

No glitching, no modding, no cheating - and Rockstar loves me for it.

hehe epic :^:

For me the solution would be a mission payout multiplier, say $20-30 a year, and you get 3x the payout for each job (or 2x if they can get me from free roam to action faster). That way I'd find grinding more rewarding.

Then I wouldn't have any desire to glitch, and they still have their income.

It depends on the game, GTA is a sandbox game. As suck like many sandbox games I enjoy total freedom on it. Not having to grind is nice. Being able to kill nonstop? That's nice as well. Those things only make the game more fun IMO.

Grow up kid. Its a damn video game, if I wanted a challenge I'd go do something "real". If I wanted a challenge in video games I'd play something a game that wasn't gtao, or gta in general.

-----------------------------------

On a side note, all of you people whining about "glitchers", name calling, in just sounding like the stereotypical raging gamer. GROW UP. Honestly some of you idiots are just..hell Idk just not very respectable. I realize these are just internet forums, but really I wonder if some of you dolts act like this IRL. For those around you I hope not.

---------------

What I just said is only directed towards the idiots who post blatantly rude post like the quote above, not referring to anyone who doesn't approve exploits.

Who didn't see this basically turning into a flame war.

I hate the "don't have time to-" that is such a weak bs justification. If you don't have time, don't play till you do.

Now that I have gotten that out of my system.

In the early days, when tanks were a real threat. I despised glitchers, now and days tanks go down in four RPGs and all is right in the world. Like everything in the world, there is two sides for everything. You got your nice pretty cool glitchers and modders that can make the game fun, and your douche bag glitchers and modders that go out of their way to ruin your fun.
