Why do people glitch and cheat?

Had people doing any glitch or mod they could. People built lag switches on their ps2s would pull their cord so u couldnt kill them.

On everquest people were duping money and rare items which actually fvcked things up badly because the game had a real economy.

I dont think it will ever stop hopefully it can be minimized and managed at least.

Two words...LAZINESS & IMPATIENCE.

LOL..true

More words....They are loosers, or generally weak minded people that have nothing in life. Video games is what they do to get away from it all and when they play they want the ability to have everything and be the best at any cost because IRL they suck at everything and have nothing. So they glitch to make up for it.

oh...there is the rare person who solely did it to get back at R* for some rare and obscure reason and the people who are more interested in running a youtube channel so they don't have time to earn legit and glitches help pull in unsuspecting children.

1) Because they have inferiority complexes - they can't face losing in any shape or form

2) They're lame at the game in the first place.

3) They have a massively overinflated sense of self-entitlement and have no idea about the value of working for something.

4) They believe that they're somehow sticking it to the man

5) They're tards. end of.

That's a bit harsh, isn't it? I've never done what I consider cheating (as in cheating other players - hiding inside wall breaches and shooting out etc.) but I have glitched cars from SP to MP and done the dead hooker thing to dupe cars to sell. But, that said, not one of those statements is true where I'm concerned.

Basically, I get more enjoyment from the game when I have a ton of money. I found this out when I, along with most other players, had hundreds of millions and money literally meant nothing. When I was having to do missions in order to afford things I didn't get as much enjoyment out of it. I just prefer to play it without earning money being a requirement, so I can chose to do missions and jobs when I want to. I still hold up stores and rob armoured trucks, but I don't *need* to do it. Now I do it for fun, rather than needing some new wheels for my bike.

We all want different things from this experience that is GTAO. It's more than a game and should not be viewed as merely that.

Because with the payouts in this game, Id rather money glitch than farm missions for hours upon hours at a time for small change. It's even a bigger waste of time considering how fast all of that work goes down the drain with these ridiculous prices. Maybe if the mission payouts were balanced, fair, and were worth the effort put into them, and if prices for items weren't ski high, then maybe most people wouldn't money glitch.

I've got other games i want to be playing too, ya know. I just cant commit three hours of my life to a single game every day. You cant get anywhere in GTAO without farming missions for hours at a time. Especially considering how underpaying and unbalanced these missions are. One of the biggest request from the community i see is for R* to revert the mission payouts to pre-1.16, but R* doesn't seem to give a f*ck.

I don't believe in the god-mode, kills you in a wall-breach, griefs other players sort of glitches though. I've only really done Money glitches, SP2MP, and interior building glitches.

Because the game has become boring, especially since removing the gate launch glitch. I never glitch money. I just like glitches that are funny. Dreading them patching the airport gate (thanks a bunch pubetube). I can park a plane in it and make the gate close through it without it bouncing around, then touch it to blow it up....that's not on Youtube by the way. They park at the side of it on Youtube.

These days I have to force myself to play as there's little to do. Or I just play other games.

It may sound harsh, but the reality is the constant bombardment of glitchers and cheaters and all else like them are keeping us from DLC. Think about this, back before spring they detailed what we would be getting in spring alone. During that time a bunch of cheats and hacks started to make their way into GTAOnline. Right after things got real bad R* delayed heist and have released next to nothing since including absolutely no word about what was coming this summer. This leads me to believe that R* IS holding back on DLC until things get fixed, until people who use exploits are completely shut down. So the average gamer who don't do the glitches and cheats is having their experience hindered by the glitchers. The worst part is, most glitchers would not be playing the game if not for the glitches they use, for the reasons I posted above.

So really, is anything even harsh enough? THey are screwing with what I payed money for and I follow the rules and they do not, yet I and others like me are the ones getting punished.

You have to be more specific with glitching etc. Using a glitch to paint the sovereign a different colour other than that American flag is that really so bad? On the other hand godmode assholes are ruining lobbies. Are modders bad? Probably most of them but not all i spent hours in a private lobby using mods and making the game more fun for us. I support money glitching to a point Im not spending hours grinding missions or spending money on cash cards just to have enough cash to buy some completely f*cking overpriced item like a 30,000 dollar mask gimme a break. But Im also not going to sit there and glitch millions just enough so i can eliminate the boring part of the game it is a game after all and Im not going to bore myself stupid grinding missions so i can afford that 700k dollar car.

And to people saying its delaying sh*t get a f*cking clue you think the same team of people that run bug fixing also does game development and design?

In a nutshell, because it's easier and takes less effort to make excuses for cheating than for playing straight up.

Hey, here is a clue, its not about what dev teams they have, its about them not releasing anything of importance until everyone playing the game is on equal financial footing. Some people are just too damned ignorant to understand that I guess. R* has stated that they want it so everyone plays to earn money and no one can just insta-buy everything because of a glitch. It undermines the entire economic system of the game. Hell they even put something in for those that didn't want to grind. You are circumventing the entire system and you are not smart enough to understand how that is affecting R*'s decision to release more content that requires GTA$.

Why do they cheat and glitch? Easy: they have small penises and they want to seem like they have big ones by being good at a video game. Plain and simple.

To get a chrome Adder as soon as possible, of course!

I prefer to keep it legit and grind some missions when I want to buy a new expensive car. It feels really good when you finally have it. Too bad R* hates us grinders more than they hate glitchers, though.

Pretty much what I'm doing right now with all my alts..

Though it is a bit galling to complete a $3k mission, find you've spent $1k on ammo during it and have just enough for a newly unlocked off-shoulder top for example...

and you also find yourself trying to make money any way possible.. I've never robbed so many stores or sold so many cars in all my time on GTA:O..

The economic agents can be individuals, businesses, organizations, or governments. Transactions occur when two parties agree to the value or price of the transacted good or service, commonly expressed in a certain currency.

Please please please explain what the gta online economy is? I included a definition of economy for you as well. and don't foget to justify the ability to buy endless amounts of cash cards which would also give you millions of gta dollars.

Now that I've read it. I have ONE character at a LEGIT level two fifty something.

Granted GTA V WAS the only game I played since launch up until like mid july.

Why do people need to have two characters? Why glitch because time won't allow you to see everything?

Anyone thinking my original post in here was a touch harsh should consider this.

If we arranged to play a game of soccer and you turned up wearing gridiron equipment and carrying a pigskin, would that be a fair game?

The game is a game and by its very nature is a construct. If you should happen to change something and go outwith that defined construct you are no longer playing the same game.

Why not? Its their way of making the game fun. Rockstar certainly hasn't been trying very hard to do that.

That's an objective view and this is a subjective matter.

You bought the game knowing full well what the contents are. If you don't consider them fun, find an alternative game, don't go around effectively ruining for people that are enjoying it and are relatively happy to play within its limitations.

I find it fun to nail my dick to the floorboards on a regular basis, but I don't go around insisting that I can do the same to everyone else...

I do understand the points you make, albeit speculation on our part. Rockstar may well have a development team working purely on heists and other DLC, and a separate team working on bug fixes (including glitches). But, you use the word "they" a lot there and I'm saying that I have glitched and have explained what I've done that I consider glitching. My post was merely about the fact that someone had given 5 reasons why I would do it and not one of them was anything other than drastically incorrect.

So yes, that post was harsh. This whole thing is being blown out of proportion and because of a small minority (people that hack, people that find glitches, and people that publicise them), everyone else that doesn't play the game how someone else believes they should suddenly comes under the 5 categories above. That's not actually harsh - it's just plain wrong.

Nice projecting there, friend. I never said that I glitched in my post. I don't. Of course that doesn't really matter since you don't seem to know what the word "objective" means. Objective means that something is based on facts and not feelings. People glitch because it makes the game fun FOR THEM. It is subjectively fun. If it objectively made the game fun, everyone would do it, and no one would complain about because we'd all be busy having fun with our glitches and hacks. Obviously this is not the case, because another person's view of fun is different from somebody else's due to being based on their own individual tastes and desires.

Taking another view of this, it does seem that despite the harshness I did hit the main points, i.e people want things NOW.. and they think they DESERVE them because they PAID for the game.

Yes, you paid for the game in the form it came as and given the sheer scale of the game (how many other sandbox games are there of this size) it's not surprising that it's taking a while to iron out the bumps per se.

Bearing in mind this is effectively an attempt to bring a next-gen game to the current gen and you can understand that Rockstar have been perhaps a little overambitious.. but... GTA is a cash cow (and I'm not even considering keshherds part of that) and let's face it, would you cut your nose to spite your face and not release a current gen version of the game, despite faults? Especially given the size of the current gen market compared to the PS4/Xone..

The leap from GTA IV to V was considerable, yet a fair number of people don't actually seem to appreciate this fact. Personally I do think some people are on the right track in thinking GTA V is a bit of a beta, but it's not in the sense they're thinking.. It's more the current>next gen leap. So, if anything, what you see now should be tighter come the next gen release.

And I stand by my view on certain opinions being subjective, especially when they say that Rockstar hasn't done much to make it fun. There's been numerous updates and the like and whether people enjoy them or not is a subjective opinion but the fact remains they have updated and added to the game.

I'm generally not in cheating/glitching at all... but after giving much afford in GTA5/GTAO for months... it's just for the lulz trying out harmless glitches or getting some play-money for my 2nd char.

CU around my friend

Honestly I think that's part of the problem. I mean look at BF4, a game that was rushed for this generation of consoles and as such was pushed out as an unfinished product. I played it when it first came out and tbh it was riddled with many of the issues that early GTAO was. The difference was that while the game was rushed, it's gameplay was far more simplistic than GTAV's, which helped prevent the odd glitches and hacks you see in this game, like the Hooker glitch. You can't do anything nearly as complex as the hooker glitch in BF4. Basically I'm saying that R* could have pushed GTAV back to the next generation and avoided a lot of this, though GTAV might not have been the 1 billion dollar wonder it's known as.

Also would it kill the boards to work properly? This is the third time I thought my comment didn't post because the thread didn't update the way it normally does. :die:

Simply put, they don't see your vision of this game.

They see it as restrictive or from a greedy empire looking to fleece us due to cash cards.

It may be just because they can.
