What Is The Point Of Having So Many Events And Game Modes When....

What they NEED to do is make things pay more and give more RP with your rank and time you invest in the activities, as well as balance the job payouts in general. That way, maybe RR wouldn't be spammed as often and other more fun missions could actually be played.

Maybe have a thing where if you play a mission over and over, the pay slowly goes down $1000 at a time, and it resets every day you play back to its orginal pay.

For deathmatches, maybe pay the amount of ammo costs back + the extra cash for how the player did.

Also, improve the matchmaking, because as it stands right now, it seems that open jobs with a bunch of people get more priority than jobs with no people in them, when it SHOULD be the other way around.

Add a player created job filter to stop joining the spammy and bad jobs when you choose quick join.

The catch is that you have to WIN the matches.

I do agree that the matchmaking is bad and we NEED a filter.

Why have fun when you have to make money?

Having to grind the same handful of missions to get money has taken all of most peoples time and they cant play the fun missions because they are tired of playing or have other responsibilities.

People wouldn't complain so much about money if they left freeroam and went to have fun in deathmatches and such. You feel like killing someone? Don't camp easy kills outside LSC. Go join a deathmatch. It's a lot cheaper to go 10-4 in a deathmatch than out in the streets where each death costs you $. And evading wanted levels and going off radar and calling tanks and helis all eat up cash quickly. Why? So you can kill someone 7 times?

Well that would be because I think the invite system is horrible. It only invites people from your lobby or something. I mean why it can`t be like in CoD for example? You pick a gamemode that you want to play and it throws you in a lobby with others who want to play it. That way it would be much easier to play something like TDM or races.

Somethings definitely wrong.

I agree people just wanna play them piece of sh*t 1,000,000RP & Cash maps. That's why I can't play my creations anymore because I'm too creative.

I know right. I think of the amount of players that are sitting around with 1,2 or even 3 players waiting to grief some innocent victims while there have to be countless rooms of 1 and 2 people just sitting in there own created lobbies waiting to get cheap thrills and kills. Just put all these people together in a real map.

And I've totally quit using the on call method to find jobs after being thrown into to many bs maps. Great idea that could be executed better.

in a word op: Greed.

R*'s blatant greed has killed what should of been their crowning achievement before it ever got off the ground. The idea for this game was simple, start with Los Santos and area that most people like to play in, VS New york, I don't know why people like the West Coast vs the East Coast, maybe it's the feeling of being the wild wild west in a jungle of concrete and steel, I don't know why exactly.

But Los Santos, and have it's content rolling out, getting people into it, and creating their groups, and gangs and what have you. Then in time other areas would roll out, the rest of San Andreas, Liberty CIty, Vice City, and all the support areas each city would of brought with it, North Yankton, Whatever Jersey is called, Etc. And maybe even in time, completely new and original areas.

Giving players the ability to expand across the map or to corner the market of their area they find themselves in. So you could drive/fly to another city and it would have it's own Geo-politics, it's own social dynamic from the city or cities that you know. Giving rise to gang warfare and eventually regional based full blown syndicate wars..

ALL OF THIS GLORY could have been, and R* would have been there to accept all the kudos.

But no, because R* doesn't measure their success by their Kudos, kudos doesn't make you obscenely wealthy.

But Greed, and short sighted greed at that, that is what R* has fallen to. The here and now, more and more money.

Doesn't matter that the sales from their 360 version of the game made them more then 8x their money, and that their XB1 version will make a comparable sum as well.

Screw the long term vision that would actually make R* MORE money in the long run.

I think what is funny is that there is a way to have a micro-transaction store, that people would be fine with and STILL think in the long term, even if we were to go that route.

But no, Sheer blind and obsessive greed, killed this dream in it's crib before it ever had a chance to truly shine.

and that my dear op is the true disappointment of them all, not how things are, but how they could have been.

Yeah I know that. I was thinking the formula for deathmatch payout could be like so...

cost of used ammo + whatever the normal formula is.

MONEY IS WHY.

Do you think RR is sooo fun? Of course not. But it affords players the RP and money to buy the stuff (mostly cars) that they want.

Instead of playing whack-a-mole by lowering payouts and increasing difficulty, R* should just raise the payouts of less popular activities.

I guarantee that they see a spike in other activities when they offer 2x payouts...so apply that principle to every day!

As of right now PUG's are completely worthless because people only play those to go on murder rampages in Freemode or to grind for RR or grief people with god mode.

It sucks that this is the way the community is but video game communities in general are this bad, everywhere. It's not a new concept. If you haven't figured out by now that gamers in general are dicks or generally suck in PUG's then you haven't been gaming very long.

Gotta hope to find some decent players, crews and play with them if you want to fully enjoy the game.

Isn't it ironic?

We have this big, open world sandbox game yet if you want to do things with people other than blow up their PV's, progress and earn money at an acceptable rate you are pretty much confined to lobbies, loading times, time limited and restrictive game modes and jobs. And people still resist the idea that maybe this game (with an incredible potential) is not so great after all. I just find that hilarious.

No, I was sniping at that tall building out of render distance picking out everybody in cars trying to get in or get out of LSC.

You can make the most strategic game ever, people will play it like it's call of duty

I think there must be enough people to play anything you want in a full lobby, but the matchmaking system is just bad.

I nearly completely agree. Some of my most memorable games have been either captures or versus missions.

Exactly some of my most remarkable moments occurred in TDM even when I was losing, besides of course the few fantastic contact missions. Of which RR is not one of them.

That's all, really :/

Never gonna happen tho

... Why doesn't nobody play arm wrestling, darts, or gun range mini-game? And yes I know the payouts are as cheap as Mr.Krabs but hey, you can still have fun playing them, I know I did but I rarely get to play these modes.. ...

I don't really play anything outside of freemode but I especially don't play those because the loading screen to playing time ratio is way too high. And we all know what loading screens mean... Game freezes.

Your experience is not likely to match that of "everyone".

What I think is happening is that people join crews of like minded people and friends and when they do jobs they stick to those people and avoid allowing randoms to come in and ruin their fun. There are many many people who play all the various modes but since they isolate themselves from the riffraf they will never be joining your lobbies or allowing you to join theirs. So what you end up with is trying to fill your modes with random freeroam junkies who would rather make fast money off easy races or short missions.

Bottom line is you need to find better friends or a crew that fits your needs.

I agree OP, I actually had fun in Capture games when it first came out, but now its all empty :/

And this is exactly what R* wants you to do. They don't want you playing events that will make you cake. They want you blowing everything up and devalue the game into chaos because it supports the cash cards craze.

Sure, it's tough to get people to do anything, but not impossible. It's all in how you do it.

People make hundreds of thousands of useless crews based on the idea that "we are the best!" In reality, a Crew like a mission Crew or Capture Crew should work well.

You need to find like minded people that you can do the things you want.

My Crew will sit down and hit up almost endless Jobs and end up with over $100k a run and nobody event pays attention to the money they made since we can go from job to created playlist, etc.

So yes, it's out there you just need to put in the work to get it. If you're just going on "find a job" or "host a job" then you'll find out what a ghost town really looks like.

Lately the only death matches I seem to get are un-verified creations set to unarmed for 30 mins.

When I do get in to a decent map with weapons (verified or otherwise) I seem to always get the muppet who doesn't know how to use a rifle and insists on RPG/Launchers for everything - even on the smallest of maps.

My experience is that no one is simply patient enough to wait for their job lobby to fill up. And the people that join aren't patient either.

People mostly (including the host) quit a job lobby after waiting in there less than even a full minute.

I understand what you are saying, and agree to a point. If there are only a few in a lobby then yes I'll wait and be happy for the time to be extended if necessary but when there is 10-12 in the lobby out of a possible 16 and the host keeps extending the time just to get the full lobby it can be frustrating. As you say some people are impatient and will leave so therefore the host will hit extend again (or cancel and resend invite) until the lobby is full.

I will quit a lobby if the host has not started the race/match after 5 mins and there is a decent number of players in the lobby. I don't want to spend my life in lobbies, I want to play the game.

What I hate is that when you try to join a contact mission it takes you to rooftop rumble all the time and when you try a deathmatch it's always those 10000000 rp ones where one person has a tank or all the guns and the rest have a knife or baseball bat. And when you host a mission no one will join unless it's rooftop rumble. No one ever joins captures, parachuting, last team standing also

I personally really like the diversity of missions, and even though I will usually start by hosting a race, I like to then do a mission, or parachute, or survival, etc.

If you guys are on XBox and want to do a variety of missions, and not just vote on races every time the voting screen comes up, add me.

This.

You need a set of friends, and a decent and active crew.

Shameless plug here, My crew (ps3 only and free aim), is undoubtedly one of the best, because we set up mixed playlists, fill lobbies, test out user created content, organise crew battles, have random crew meets. Whilst crews like Red Rum Racing (RRR1) are one of the best for fans of racing, and Game Content Creators Club (GCCC) is great for playing random jobs. Others are great for TDM's too. Not many play all the modes as far I as know, as we try to though. (Click signature to check our site) .

Rockstar messed up the game in terms of match making, the on call feature was an attempt to fix it, but it's completely broken and depends on players to take the initiative to organise and be proactive.

I have an idea to kind of force people to do more side activities: What if they took the 18,750 payout from Rooftop Rumble and moved it around.

Every week the payout gets moved to a different activity. Example, one week parachuting gives a payout of 18,750, next week it goes to racing, week after that it goes to arm wrestling.

Calculate how long it takes to finish criminal records and compare it to how long it usually takes to complete Rooftop Rumble. That way you have to spend as much time in a race, parachuting, etc, as you do in Rooftop Rumble to get the full payout.

False, the LAST OF US is a highly strategic game and truly a thinking man's game when it comes to killing. That is how multiplayer combat should be done with natural cover and stealth. This game is trash when it comes to combat and mechanics which is why I don't really f*ck with this game.

If they're waiting outside, you would see them before you go in. Therefore, you're an idiot and deserve to get your forehead blown off when you come out.

It's called a radar, mini map, whatever, people... use it. If someone is in the area of the LSC you're trying to get in, leave and go to another one.

I guess you seem to forget that there are vehicles in this game that can carry people around the map. These people see you entering the LSC and they wait for you outside.
