And while I sometimes want to join, it is because of DIs that I will not do so. All they have to do is get in my face once, and I'll be immediately discharged for insubordination. I will not be able to take the verbal and/or any imposing emotional abuse or singling out. I WILL certainly stand up for myself at all costs. So OP, while I do not have military experience, I say this to you: If you have a problem with authority figures, or will not take sh*t talking lying down, the military isn't for you, even if you have the passion for it. I was deployed to Afghanistan a few times and had a lot of training to do.
