Is the Banshee really that slow?

The Banshee is a great car. I've never seen anyone online racing in a Fullisade, and if it really was faster I bet I'd see it more. The Banshee is in my garage for racing and I use it to some success. It will get beat by some cars if the drivers have equal skills, but since most races are filled with scrubs you can really race with whatever you want and win.

As for the Buffalo S being faster I'd doubt that too, but it is pretty underrated. The car is surprisingly quick but it has so much mass it loses time breaking for sharp bends. The real point here is not to take some quack youtube guy's word as gospel. Pick the cars you like, master them, and you can win most races against randos.

So I was watching Broughy1322's car test videos, and according to the below video, the Banshee is slower than the Fusilade.

When the I'm Not A Hipster Update came out, he tested the Buffalo S and got a time faster than the Banshee's.

So, is the Banshee really that slow? Or does the Banshee actually beat the Fusilade and Buffalo S? I find it hard to believe that a high end sports car is slower than two lower-tier non-premium sports cars.

OP was watching the wrong videos. Here's a spreadsheet of his latest tests on all vehicles. May not include the Heist vehicles. Fusilade and Buffalo S are both much slower then the Banshee.

Most Banshee owners are GTA fanboys that love it for its nostalgia, not racing.

It is slow but you can win with almost anything in GTAO

Skill vehicle bithces.

Tip handbrake after second gear engage for extra boost yippikayeah my mind is drifting in a endless ocean of blue.

That's what I said above -_- it's called double clutching. And as I explained, it doesn't make it faster, but accelerate MUCH faster, which is more important if you ask me.

Banshee is terrible around corners

No, you my friend, are a terrible driver.

And if you keep playing against incompetent players that can't end a lap without having their cars completely smashed up, yes. But I am talking about competitive racing. Of you are a good banshee driver, you can be competitive against the top-notch sports cars.

It can go faster than the Zentorno on straight roads.

I'm getting tired of explainig this -_-

It can ACCELERATE much faster than Zentorno. Just if you double clutch it. But in a long track, Zentorno's top speed would catch up with it. Acceleration is totally different from top speed.

Search for any video in youtube, I'm pretty sure you saw them. Don't misunderstand what they're explaining. No top speed increase, speed BOOST. That means acceleration :/.

it all depends on how you use it.

I must say that your vid doesn't prove anything :/ drifting is actually not something you usually do in competitive races.

it wasnt really about proving anything besides the car does totally different things if you know how to use it and exploit the ability to downshift.

this is more what youre looking for:

That's drag racing, short tracks. Where acceleration dominates. Blade for example, is pretty slow compared to other muscle cars. Dominator stomps over it in longer tracks. But the initial acceleration of the blade is incredible for a muscle car. It's the same case the guy says with banshee vs zentorno. Initial acceleration of banshee with double clutch is incredibly superior, but in the long run, zentorno is faster, and would beat Banshee. Now, if the track is mostly turns, you can dominate the banshee's tailhappy handling, and know how to perfectly double clutch every single time without loosig control thanks to handbrake, then, yes, banshee can beat zentorno in lap times, and basically any other car.

When I meet that person, I must congratulate him.
