uzer
Then why did you buy the PS4 if you knew there weren't any exclusives coming out that you were interested in? Shouldn't you have waited to buy it when exclusives that you care about are released? Logic. I'm just as fine with waiting as you are with missing the point of the argument and starting enormous quote trains.
ainsz
My PS4 is in the same way. Only worth while games I've played are Outlast and BF4. Plenty to look forward to though.
BondageKitty
Can someone clear up which games are exclusive, timed exclusive, ported from PC, exclusive to 1 console but also on PC and multiplatform? These events are so vaguelly worded and both sides are always trying to make everything look like theirs. Also did The Last Guardian show? http://youtu.be/EHzHoMT5eRg So anyone know any of the 2 answers?
Coin
Phil Spencer has only been in charge a few months. With him I think they'll be more new IPs, but for now Xbox users are left to play with 3rd party exclusives. You have to realize that media was ahead of gaming before Spencer was put in charge. When you look at it MS has some great IPs. Conker, Banjo, Voodoo Vince, Blinx, Battletoads, Age of Empires, Crackdown, Phantom Dust, Grabbed by th Ghoulies, Kameo, Perfect Dark, Project Gotham Racing, and others. They just have to put them to use. He was the head of MS Studios, a sh*t ton of prototypes were probably shot down. With any luck. He'll bring them back to life. Age of Empires isn't really an IP that should be featuring on console and I don't think we'll see another Project Gotham Racing. Forza Motorsport and Horizon have that market well cornered for first party stuff IMO. Going to go a little out of left field here but I would add Viva Pinata to that list. Sequel might have sold poorly but I think it's worth a punt. Am I the only one that feels like Microsoft doesn't have many good exclusives? I feel like Playstation has all the better games. I mean, what exclusives for Xbox are there to get really hyped and excited for? Tomb Raider is eh. Nothing special. Sunset Overdrive looks really cheesy. Quantum Break seems confusing. What else is there to get excited about? Halo and Gears is the only franchises Microsoft has going for them. I'm certainly no Playstation fanboy either. I hate Playstation fans. I own an Xbox One and just really want some awesome exclusives come to Xbox but all I see is awesome exclusives come to Playstation. It's pissing me off. Microsoft's conference wasn't anything special. The big news about Tomb Raider, which again, not really going to be a huge console seller in my opinion. More news on Halo. First gameplay of Quantum Break which I didn't really care for. Graphics were pretty good but the gameplay seems confusing and weird. Some console bundles that no one is really interested in or care about. That's about it. Some conference Sounds to me like you're experiencing a combination of the 'grass is greener on the other side' mixed with those dastardly expectations. Halo alone could be an amazing cashcow if they actually tried something with the franchise, apart from pushing out new FPS sequels and remasters of ten year old games. Back around 2008 - 2010, it seemed they were on the right track. Halo Wars, ODST, if they did experiments like these again, it would be great. They could easily have several sub-series of different genres, all under Halo name. Halo franchise is probably getting more of a push than any other video game IP at the moment, with a movie and TV series. To be honest, I don't think they should bother again with the Halo Wars experiment unless it's going to be a PC title. RTS games and console just don't mix without a lot of compromises. Another stab at Spartan Assault could be worth it.
