I don't believe in shooting first, unless it's obvious that the person is gunning for me.

 

I only use the tank when a friend lets me use it, I don't have my own.

I sometimes shoot first. If they come off as a threat to me, then I'll attack them.

 

I never use a tank (Mainly because I'm not at the rank to unlock one and I wouldn't even have the money for it anyway and using a cargobob to go steal one from the base by using the "Blind Eye" feature from Lester takes too much time).

 

I do not use the back of my Zentorno to run players over. If they are shooting at me, I would just drive away. I would only retaliate if they come after me.

I do all three rarely, but when I do them I don't feel a shred of guilt. It's almost always in self defence that I fight other players, and when a battle has started then its every man for himself and f**k gentleman's rules.

Quite honestly theres nothing wrong with shooting first. GTAO is based on stealing sh*t, killing sh*t, f*cking sh*t up and in general causing sh*t. So I see nothing wrong with killing on sight. Only thing that bugs me is people spawn camping, that I wont do.

I never start a fight, so I only shoot if someone else is shooting already.

 

I sometimes use tanks to freak people out when I drive by them.

Even if they don't have a mic, you can see the moment they crap their pants just by the way they drive away. xD

 

I don't use it to kill unless there's a group of twankers. a GROUP.

I also use the tank to do that Barracks launch glitch with others sometimes. UuU

 

I drive supers with bulletproof backs so I can go by people on the street without dying.

It's all part of the game - I think people worry a bit too much about dying in free roam - it's not really a big deal, it just means it's game-on.

I will shoot first on occasion if I can tell the other person is about to shoot me. But otherwise I don't shoot first as a general rule.

 

I do use my tank but I don't use in public sessions. I just reserve it for solo sessions or sometimes if I'm with friends. On occasion ill use it in missions for the fun of it but again only solo or with friends.

 

Never drive backwards firing. I can usually get by without resorting to that.

There is no sometimes in a game like this. You either "do" or you "do not."

1. Do you shoot first?
When have you ever been in a situation where someone shot at you and you did nothing?
When has someone ever pulled up to you, beeping, and you didn't typically stain their windshield?
We all share the same instincts in this game, with the rare moments of being calm and passive being few and far between.

2. Do you use a tank?
Once I hit the tank level, of course. Why wouldn't I or anyone else? Typically, I don't run for it, but when it's appropriate, yes.

3. Do I backend other players?
I didn't design the cars, that's how they come. So, yeah, of course I'm going to take advantage of their strength.

To be honest, the questions do not breach the core of what players could reply to.
Had you posed them differently, perhaps you may have opened up more dialogue.

For example, "What's the best way to approach another player? Shoot first, Beep, Stand there waving?"
Or, "When is using a tank justified? Payback, Backup for another player? Maniacal Spree?"

Some people just want to play the game without the bother of getting stuff to have fun. Some people want to earn their toys. Both are ok and no one is the lesser. Don't be the lesser by wasting your time telling people how to play their game. As long as any side aren't being jerks everything is fine.

I always shoot first; this place is a war zone. I also use my tank whenever I feel like it. The reversing thing is like cheating to me and I hate it. I have never done it and never will. Use the legitimate ways to kill people instead of doing some sort of exploit of the system.
