Opinions please: should I buy a Buzzard now?

I decided that I would maintain a bank account of at least $2m, in case a limited-time DLC with high priced items should be sprung on us.

 

Right now, I have $3.76m, which means I could buy the Buzzard attack chopper and still maintain that £2m buffer.

 

But should I? Does it actually make that much difference to how quickly one can earn money?

It's great for missions and while they appear in freeroam having your own will make sure yours spawn and just the feeling walking up to it is amazing. I love mine and it's one of the reasons why I still play GTA:O. I've told this a lot around the forum in these types of topics. So yes, buy one, totally worth it.

Watch out for the useless miniguns and sh*tty missile lock-on that always makes you miss though.

Does it disappear in a similar fashion to other pegasus vehicles when you go to pick it up?

u absolutely need to do this. do it asap. whenever the next patch comes out their might be a money wipe because the game is in such a poor state.

 

what i would do if i were you is do the money glitch right NOW, and buy all the pegasus vehicles while it's in your power to do so

I have one with my main and not with my alt. Feels like I'm missing a limb with my alt without having a Buzzard.

I would only buy it if your a low rank and need it for missions. Unless you are amazing at controlling it, its pretty much useless.

good snipers will shoot you down at will

anyone with a minigun will shoot u down if within range same with a carbine or combat mg

You mean they spawn at Fort Zancudo? Not the buzzard (or any flying-related vehicles).

I did have an issue in two different lobbies. Was at Paleto Bay and called my buzzard. It disappeared twice, Pegasus saying they moved it back into storage. 2nd session had it spawned in another helicopter and they both blew up. The spawn is wacky but the vehicle itself is worth it.

After 116 missions like this you will start earning profit.

Meanwhile you can also do Crystal clear out III, Mixed up with Coke, LS Connection, Chopper tail, Base invaders. Those are high paying missions ($13,500 min for Mixed up that will be dramatically easy to do with Buzzard).

 

Before you purchase it, you can practise for free in mission Defender: 2 buzzards are provided, easy to solo, $17,500 for one run. You can easily land near starting point at the end of the mission and start over immediately.

 

Buzzard is real investment. Even for casual player, it's a tool to earn easy, risk-free money SOLO with $200 expenditures per mission.

Definitely, definitely buy the Buzzard. It's useful for missions, yeah, but in freeroam it's also very nice to have.

 

I think the Frogger may be slightly faster in a straight line, but the Buzzard is so manoeuvrable it's a great weapon. Once you learn how to time the rockets properly, you make a ton of money back just going bounty hunting in it. I've spent so much time in mine. Plus, it's tiny so it lands in even the smallest places.

The Buzzard is not only great for some missions, but also for "Kill the Target," crate drops, and gang attacks. I also love trying to dodge Lazers by weaving through the downtown skyscrapers in free roam, but a good Lazer pilot will inevitably take me down.

FWIW, I'm 99% sure my primary character will get a gunnie Buzzard at some point. The $1.75mGTA is already earmarked. My only indecision was whether to buy it now and possibly make money more quickly, or to keep grinding and buy at a later date.

Gordanovich does not knowingly glitch. Is it likely that even legit money will be removed?

totally worth the investment, missions easier make money quicker before R* makes all missions pay out 40% of the original amount. I just wish pegasus vehicles could be more like personal vehicles so you could lock them and didn't have to pay $200 a time to get them and had more spawn locations. Hopefully hydra will have more being a VTOL

All this talk about a flight DLC and a Hunter (new helicopter) shouldn't steer you away from buying it.

If I didn't have the buzzard and had your kind of money, I would buy the buzzard. It has lock-on rockets, small to land in most places, agile, quick and makes you feel badass when flying it in the night with the front light turned off. It's a truly amazing machine. If the Hunter is anything like it was in GTA:SA, it's going to be bigger than the buzzard and green (unless they do a redesign but then again the buzzard is the same as it is in GTA IV: The ballad of Gay Tony). I'm not saying the Hunter isn't worth the wait, I'm actually excited to see if the Hunter will appear at some point in GTA V as I love that chopper but there's something about the buzzard...it's too good. You know when you hopped in a Banshee in GTA 3 and you knew it was an iconic car? The buzzard is going to be iconic too, I can feel it.
