Yes.

Almost never.

Me too. I only use it to talk to my friends though.

I do, but I rarely talk (Bought the headset like a week ago and I think I've said 4-6 short sentences top).

I'm very insecure when in comes to talking, mostly because I've never had someone to talk to in english, so the result is a heavy accent with an occasional stutter, making it hard to understand sometimes. (My primary language isn't english if you didn't catch that, I live in South America).

So I just put my headset on mute and listen others talking.

Don't feel that way - I love listening to many of the players (except for the ones that abuse the headset) from different countries. And, even though English is my primary language, sometimes it sure doesn't sound like that! I haven't run into any of the language police while online....

I have a kinect hooked up to my xbox, so people hear me talk to myself alot..

Nothing personal but I HATE Kinect mic. I really do not want to listen to your entire household getting ready for the day and eating breakfast and you getting yelled at to "get to work/school"

And shut that goddamn dog up already!

On second thought it was mostly personal.

I used to have a headset for PS3, but I would only used it a few times to talk to IRL friends back on GTAIV. It broke before V was released and I feel no need to buy another simply to talk to idiots online. I doubt pleading to modders will stop them from harassing me :(

I use it rarely. The amount of people I've met on GTAO that I would actually exchange words with I can count on one hand. In-between the "supposed" real life gansta drug dealers who can "hack my ip", and the 42 year old guys who take the game way too seriously, there isn't a lot there.

Yes and it's set to friends only. I am reminded why every race I join, 11 yr olds singing rap songs, grown men whining to their wife or mom, constant use of the N bomb, ect...

I usually have it muted. I only interject when I feel it is necessary. When people start to argue I unmute and let out a chuckle or too. Give a few low, "ooooohs". Usually adds fuel to the fire.

Yes, I always have it on when I'm playing, because it's a gaming headset. I don't talk to people in online, unless I'm not in a party and I'm talked to.

I can't say I'm a fan of some of the people that play GTA.

"yes" i have one and use it every time i play, but since i rarely use my mic i chose "almost never" for the second question.

gta is the perfect place to practice.

yes some people would tell you to shut the f*ck up, make fun of you because of bad pronunciation and stuff like that but still its a great place to practice, build up your confidence.

last time i had a good experience with the headset was on Burnout Paradise. since then i plug it in when playing GTAO so i dont have to listen to people in missions & stuff like that.

sidenote: i put the mic near my turd cutter, so if by some chance i brown, i can share it with whoever is listening.

Wait so you put your mic by your ass then fart on it then proceed to talk into mic with it next to your mouth?

You're a walking disease magnet. Seriously people HYGIENE

Nope - partly because I'm an antisocial hermit, and partly because I really don't like the sensation of wearing a headset.

Wouldn't mind getting a decent speaker and free-standing microphone set-up for team-based gameplay, but not sure how that'd work logistically (do such things even exist conveniently for Xbox 360?).

I do and use it if I have friends/crew members online. It's rarely ever set to "everyone", unless I want to hear people raging.

Don't have one and do not plan on getting one. I just don't play online enough for one. But my friend and I do talk to each other on the phone while we play, and I use headphones in my phone for that, works just fine.

Yes
I use it to talk to friends 99.9% of the time. Nearly never randoms.

I mostly use mine so that I dont hear people talk through my television speakers, so I use it as a mute device mostly.

I'm usually in a party with friends when I play GTA Online, so I have a headset but I don't use it for in game chat unless absolutely necessary (i.e, when Xbox Live decides that my friends and I can't connect to each other for some mystical reason).

I had one but now it's lost due to having older an sibling who loves to "borrow" things without permission. I'll get a new one sooner or later.

Yeah, only used it once Online with a group of friends though.. never did it again after that.

Probably will eventually on the PS4 version.

I have a pair of Astro A40's. Rarely use them to talk to people though, only for game sound.

A Maned Wolf

Forgot to add what type of head set.

Just some Triton Kunai's I picked up on sale for under $50, instead of $85

I don't believe so. Incidentally I used to have these ear buds that had a mic on the wire. I used it for a phone back in the day and I think I remember it working for my xbox. Not sure what it was called or if they even sell them anymore. As for a stand up mic, I don't think they have those for xbox.

Found a rather clever solution - get a headset adapter that plugs into the back of the controller, then plug in a small notebook microphone:

Whole lot comes to around 15 quid, tops - might invest in something like that once heists come out.*

*that is, if I've any time to spare to play GTAO once I've got that purple sparkly unicorn I've always wanted...
