I always have it on but find I use it less and less. Its nice to hook up with some other Contact Mission crusaders and have a nice run of like 5 or 6 missions where we are all joking around and talking about GTA. This happens very rarely now, however.

I only communicate with my crew and friends, Most of the time when i try to talk in a public lobby its just a bunch of yelling and screaming. Plus the in game chat is pretty trash on the PS3.

last time i had a good experience with the headset was on Burnout Paradise. since then i plug it in when playing GTAO so i dont have to listen to people in missions & stuff like that.

 

sidenote: i put the mic near my turd cutter, so if by some chance i brown, i can share it with whoever is listening.

I do, but I rarely talk (Bought the headset like a week ago and I think I've said 4-6 short sentences top).

I'm very insecure when in comes to talking, mostly because I've never had someone to talk to in english, so the result is a heavy accent with an occasional stutter, making it hard to understand sometimes. (My primary language isn't english if you didn't catch that, I live in South America).

So I just put my headset on mute and listen others talking.

Yep, but only to talk to crew. I gave up on talking to randoms a few months ago. So much stupid sh*t. I never see anyone talking when I look on the "players" menu in a Freemode room.

I do remember when I was using my headset (Sony PS3 wireless, despite being windows compatible) on my dinosaur desktop, with an internet stick and all, and they would interfere, so the wireless headset would disconnect, or the internet wouldn't work, it was terrible

Your written English is great. You should try speaking more. GTA online seems perfect place to practice.

Turtlebeach that is. And i only talk to my crew & friends. I rarely talk to people in free roam as it mostly squeakers.
