GTA Gamblers

With the rumour mill spinning like a roulette wheel about a possible Casino update, thought it would be a good time to see how the Gamblers amongst us have fared placing bets so far.

 

You know the guy, $2,500 on every job no matter what.

Or the other guy, generally a level 5 or 6. "I will put down one hundred dollars ma'am, ahem, thank you"

Also anyone miss being able to go balls out and whack 10Gs down?

 

If I remember correctly I have won a couple of bets that have netted me $15K+, earning more than the payout for the race winner, feels good.

 

So my stats right now are saying I have bet:

$132.5K

 

And have won:

$184.4K

 

So I am nearly $52,000 up! Sweet.

 

I remember being at least $60K in the hole once. I will often spread bet, and tend to always put some money down if the odds are well against you in a TDM but the other team has $5,000 on the table, coz they are winnable!

 

So what about you guys, what are your numbers?

Pretty sure we will get one dude. It ain't R*s style to hang a big ass sign like that on the casino and not follow through. Yes, take a millennium about it while they funk around making sure they are squeezing every last drop out of their bitter little lemon, but never release it? - nah

I've spent 95K on betting & won 75.5K from it.

 

Don't think I have ever won more than $1,500 from a single bet because I usually have the overwhelming favourite odds.

 

Which sucks, because if you have odds of 20:1 and you win, do they actually give you 20x what you put down? Or just whatever was bet?

 

As for casino dlc, you can fly a heli inside the current casino, but not much in there apartment from fake floors. PS4 version might see one, who knows...but this current gen wont.

I know what you mean about favourite odds, I do like to bet on others in a race too, just a few bucks here and there

 

Think they would meet the odds properly, as in 20 x what you bet, + your original bet, but - the whole damn system always seemed wonky.

 

Sure I saw a floor plan for a casino from game files posted somewhere? I dunno.

I'm getting bored of all this speculation and people stating that we will or will not get a certain cld. Nobody knows for sure what we will or wont get, not on this forum anyway. Nobody knows what the ps3 can or cant handle. We are all going by speculation.

 

I personally have given up hoping and expecting so am now not playing the game, and just waiting to see what R* will do next.

I do honestly believe the Casino was to open, but now I fear, it won't. The amount of glitches that everyone has seen since online can you imagine what would happen if a casino actually opened. I can imagine, Buy panto > Get hooker > Kill hooker whilst on phone > drive panto into casino > reverse into slot machine whilst using the horn to morse code the word "money" > Jackpot.

Depends on your odds! I agree the system is dodge but are you checking your odds?

 

2/5 for instance is a losing bet (sorry if teaching to suck eggs)

 

Might help some people but you can change the odds to appear as a decimal, so you can just multiply what you're betting by it, if its less than 1 don't do it!

The betting system in this game is broken no matter what the odds are lol. If they add the casino, you will have allot of broke crybabies. Do you actually think R* will design the system so everyone makes 10s to 100s of millions to billions lol. They will code that very carefully to make sure only a handful of lucky people win. Casino would probably be the only sure fire way of selling cash cards, knowing the casino could bankrupt the majority of the greed seeking population, just like any casino in real life.

I bet quite a lot now, I've won over 50k but never got the tattoo for it. I'd rather a casino than hiests (depending on if we can bet big)..

YES YES YES YES..and YES. This is a feature that i miss that was in GTA SAN ANDREAS that SHOULD'VE been already in this game but R* has the tendency to cut things out(pool, interiors, vigilante, & etc.). If it ever does make a return then i would like to see this:

Poker

Blackjack

Craps

Wheel of Fortune

Pool

Roulette

Slots

I still play Red Dead Redemption just to play poker online.

At first, I thought if GTA Online introduced online poker, I would likely never play Red Dead Redemption poker again.

Then I remembered that most players are children and will simply go all-in every single hand, completely ruining the game.
