So, some idiot shoots me for no reason, like usual, and I die. But then... I don't respawn. The wasted screen never appears. Look for yourself:

It's not frozen, I died at night, and the tarp on the Barracks is fluttering in the wind. I can't open the pause menu, view online players, or anything. The players are there, seconds after I took that picture someone ran around my corpse. So what the hell? I know this almost certainly isn't permanent, I can just reload Grand Theft Auto 5 from the dashboard. Just wondering.

Its a glitch. It happens from time to time. I have never seen it but have read threads about it.

How many time have you died in total OP? You only have 5000 lives to startt off with. You can earn extra lives by coming first in playlists but unfortunately you must start again when have exhausted all your lives.

This is a glitch. Happens to me and my crew every now and then. We call it the "blackout" of GTA. And if you die you have to sign out. It happens whenever someone spectators someone in the lobby. I know this because the person spectated me. And it happened.

Hackers. This happened to me tonight too. I was swooping down over a guy with a bounty while flying a Cessna type plane. Wasn't really trying to hit him just swooping over his head. On the 3rd pass my door opened up and I was kicked out just like when you get kicked from someones personal vehicle. I couldn't deploy my chute and just splattered on the ground......then just like the op the wasted screen wouldn't come up and no buttons worked on my controller except the round PS button. I had to quit the game and restart. I have no doubts the dude kicked me out of that plane.

I've had this happen.

While I was looking at my corpse and pressing every button on the controller, other players began saying things like "I swear these hackers keep ruining this game".

However, I just assume no one was respawning after dying, just like myself.

Would it be a good idea? Think about all the tank fags and spawn griefers. That is all that would be left in this game if we only had 5000 lives and then had to start over.

that happen from time to time, its some sort of cloud crash, 100% sure the same thing happened to the entire lobby.

 

 

happened to me the other day, i was flying my vestra when the game crashed, my guy jumped to his death, i heard all the people in the lobby talking about how they just died and didnt respawn.

 

had to sign out of psn to force the game back to sp.

I fell off the back of a truck today and got hit by the Surfer following...I lost the ability to jump, climb, punch or bring up my weapon wheel. Not the same at all but I did have to die before I got those abilities back. I could still run and enter cars though.

This has happened to me a couple of times...the first time, the only thing I could do was zoom the camera slightly by pressing down on one of the sticks, I'm pretty sure it was how the camera zooms if you go into stealth mode...the other time I died in a car and all I could do was activate the convertible roof haha

Almost exactly the same thing happened to me a few hours ago, however my character was in a 10 car garage watching another player through the tv whilst I was busy eating (GTA don't stop for food!) when I looked up my character was dead in the middle of the street and none of the buttons did anything except the main Xbox dashboard menu button, which allowed me to try and join a friend's session to gain control of the game again or else I would have had to restart GTA.

Looks to be a blue track jacket with FIB crew logo(s) on it.

 

Have never had this happen to me, anyway. Kinda laughed when I clicked on this thread and saw your guy's face planted in the pavement.

It looks to me like hes wearing a dark blue track jacket with an FIB crew emblem on the back. I know its only a small glitch but I wish Rockstar would fix that crew emblem glitch on jackets already!
