I'm really developing a love/hate relationship with this game. But what has really been nagging me lately, aside from them dragging their feet with the god mode hack fix, is how in survial, you're limited with the ammount of ammo you can pick up on the map.

 

For example, If I have 5 out of 20 rockets and I go to pick up a rocket launcher, I can't because the game doesn''t allow it. It's the first time I've ever played a game that didn't allow you to pick up ammo you have room for.

 

It's just another example of the game forcing me to spend the money I earn on ticky tack stuff.

I always thought it was something on my end, people would say that survivals are great for collecting rounds but i was never able to do it..

Try buying armour in free roam, then signing out and back in. Hey... where'd your armour go, Billy?

 

Also, paying the mechanic to have him tell me he's busy, even if I haven't called him in ages... pisses me off lol.

I thought people use to do survival for ammo. Only would lose it when you died if u didnt own it. Aka pick up a rocket launcher at lvl 99

At the lower levels, you can do that, but once you get high enough, it stops letting you pick up anything. Same applies for rifle ammo. If I have say, 3500 rounds, I can't pick up anything. It's so silly.

And that's my problem with the game. I don't mind having to work to earn something like a high end sports car or Buzzard, but I want to feel rewarded when I play, not like I'm being cheated and forced out of my money left and right. It's one of the places where they really messed up with the game. The economy is stupid. 4500 for delivering a Titan jumbo jet, but 50,000 for a jazz horn... :miranda:

I do it all the time, access weapons I'm too low of a rank to unlock.

 

You don't lose them when you die, but you can lose them if for example you start a new session or the one that pisses me off, you join a deathmatch, it can't connect you and you end up in a new session and all lost.

There's not much we can do about this. That's precisely the business model they chose, and imo ruined GTA Online in almost every way.

 

All we can do as customers is not buy any cash cards to show our disapproval, so maybe next time they'll just ask for an up-front small fee or create paid DLC instead of the headgames.

I put on god mode the other night to deal with a crew of god mod douchebags. I never died or bought anything. when I started I had over $100k by the time I made them leave the session I was broke. having to deal with those griefing players and their supercars took all the money my character had.

 

this game is purposely designed to drain your characters bank account as much as possible at every moment. why else would supercars (made from fiberglass) have a bulletproof rear? to force players into paying $9-12k when you defend yourself.

It was. Don't know when they changed it but now your weapons have to be near empty to be able to collect

Nade Launcher is limited to 2. RPG to 1. Minigun to 2000. Nades and Sticky Bombs to 4, if i'm correct.

survivals will only give 2000 ammo so always start one with less than 2000.

if you want to carry 10 000 ammo you have to buy the rest.

iv not payed for ammo since November 13 but i only carry 2000 bullets for each gun slot, 6 rpgs, 6 sticky bombs, 6 grenades all from survivals

do we really need to carry 10 000 bullets, full rpg , sticky bombs, ect?

LSC wants 50,000$ for a car horn

LSC wants to pay me 500$ for an Emperor. Its a running car for God's sake!! The tires alone are worth more than that! OK, its a car that probably about 30+ years old, so ofc it depreciates a bit right...

 

3000$ for an Escalade? Really? Maybe if it was a 1998 Escalade, with 300,000 miles and being held together with zip ties and liquid cement, but not the f*cking 2013 model Escalade they have in the game. (I prefer the one from GTA IV myself)

That's my point. Show me another game that doesn't let you pick up extra ammo from the ground if you have the space for it. It's a stupid mechanic designed specifically to make you pay for your ammo.

In the early days of GTAO, you could pick up all the ammo. They changed it a while ago and I haven't done a Survival since. It's a complete waste of money and time.

1. Just an FYI, but going into "god mode" to deal with "god mode douche bags" actually makes you a "god mode douche bag." Just so you know.

But the point is sometimes I just like to blow sh*t up, every once in a while Chester and dem' seem to get bunched up by the boneyard's actual entrance, I like to make them go BOOM!

Also those stupid trucks are always in my friggin way after I blow them up, I end up spending more ammo to try to move them out of the way

This is not about being a badass in survival, I can do Boneyard with a combat pistol only ( helis included), it's about the nickel and diming away of fun

game feels like a 9 to 5

na'm sayin?
