I think when it comes to maturity, it's all in the individual. I've met 16 year olds on here with great manners. Some that sound more intelligent than myself. While on the other hand, I've met folks in there twenties behaving like high school freshmans. Is that a direct reflection of who they are in real life? In most cases, probably not. Sadly, there's those select few that just haven't grown up. I actually feel pity for them.

 

Any who, there are older players online, but age shouldn't be your requirement. It's all in the individual themself.

Why is it all I seem to find and play with are 15 year olds and younger? Most of those kids either have Summer Break or dropped out of school to be a lazy teen.

 

Where the hell are the players over 20 years old? Well as a 25 year old that works for a living. I would have to say that some of the players are either at work, working full time or out of town on vacation. Also some of the adults don't have all the time to play the game since they might have a big family to support all week and weekend.

 

where the hell are the parents and why the hell are they playing this game? The parents are either at work or at the store shopping for food for their family to eat during the week to even watch their kids play the game. Or they are too lazy to do proper parenting to their kids.

Im 16 and the most mature player you will probaly ever meet. I bought my ps3, games and PVR with my own momey.

I reccomed checking out the meetup's page in gta online. Some people are hosting lobbies like that

in all fairness i started playing GTA when i was 11 but to be honest i dont know how parent let their kids play this type of game online.

i let my 2 kids(11 & 5) play in sp but not online, for 2 things, first i dont want them to get frustrated/stressed by all the griefin and 2 because they would just mess up my stats!

you would let your own kid's play a game on singleplayer that has nudity, strip clubs, and the f word every 3 seconds.

I first started with vice city a year after it came out & have been playing GTA for over a decade. Im 24 and yeah its rare bumping into people my age. Usually its always kids, teenagers, or older guys but i have a mixture of people on my friends list from 12 to in their 30s. I prefer to play with people around my age 21-27 but ill make an exception if the person im playing with is mature for their age and is not overly annoying regardless of how young or old they are.

I stay in Invite Only sessions anymore. Public lobbies are a joke.

 

Seeing all the youtube exploiters and child hackers running amok, modeled as aliens with God mode on..... I'll pass, I prefer to carry out my business in peace free of arrogant a**holes in chrome super cars that bust peoples chops because they know Rockstar won't do anything as long as they aren't money glitching.

 

Also those people who are like "This is GTA, if you don't like it, go play fluffy bunny adventure" They can go to hell with the hackers and cheaters.

If you don't use a mic, you won't hear them scream when you kill them. Therefore it doesn't matter what age they are.

But I wont be able to meet new people this way. try reborn legion. We have a post on the crew recruitment page on here. We are all over 18 and nearly always somebody on. We have a good laugh and play a lot of death matches and races. That is sad but true. Some adults are worst than the children. Some of them would start pissing contest, racist comments wars and start crying like children whenever they don't get their kill or way in sessions.

19 next week. But people think I'm much older, especially when I talk. Don't think I've got anyone on my PSN list younger than 20. Still, it's not just the kids who can be insufferable. All those homie types irritate me to the extreme "Yeee N*gga got yo B*tch ass" or "Dayum man dat N*gga hiding" just grinds my gears. Lamar was bad enough in story mode. Still, kids and homies alike are great targets with a musket. You can just hear the idiocy as they struggle to process how I killed them so easily.

I know there are man-boys online that are over 30 but still act like annoying brats but it took them an entire lifetime to become that douchebag. these kids already passed that level of jerk before hitting the third grade.

 

although I do laugh my ass off the very few times ive heard a parent passing by discipline the kid for their awful behavior. "I don't care what your mother lets you do. you wont act like that while youre under my roof." was the best one I heard as the kid screams, "NO!!!!!!!! DONT TURN OFF THE GAM......."

That reminds me of when I was playing warhawk.. there's a squeaker on there giving it all this "Oh you guys suck I'm better than you etc".

 

First dad comes in to him "Hey! Whats up with all the swearing up here" - "Nothing daddy I'm busy, I didn't swear honest". Then mum comes in "Hey! It's past your bed time what are you still doing up?!" "Oh but mumm!! It's only 11pm!" then a whole argument broke out between him and his parents how he wants to keep playing "But you've got school in the morning! It's bed time!".

 

It was absolutely hilarious, the whole lobby pretty much stopped playing because I think everyone was laughing..

 

And it ended with "That's it! Your not allowed anymore video games or computers for the rest of the week! I'm pulling the plug".. and he went offline..
