I'm 31 so I guess I got the "old guy" status too...but I get what op is saying itd be nice to game with some ppl my age lol

39 here and I laugh every single time some punk ass kid cries about an adult playing a video game aimed at adults. I played my very first video game in 1979 and have never stopped and I never will. If you'd like adults to play the game with add me on PS4 - CenaSux43

48 here, first played video games back in the late 70's, stopped playing after leaving school as I was always out partying, first exposure to GTA was GTA3 at a mates house, bought a PS2 with Vice city and been hooked since. I play now most days if I'm not away working. My daughter loves it too but she's only 8 too young for online so I just let her walk around in freemode.

Where are all the older players you ask?

too busy with their regular lives to play GTA O 24/7 :^:

so you get stuck with all the kiddies and (even worse) the summer vacation kiddies

38 here.. I find myself playing online more when I'm on the road since hotels are boring for the most part. It's a fun way to blow off some steam. I am another one of those Original Gamers. The GTA series has always been a favorite.

in all fairness i started playing GTA when i was 11 but to be honest i dont know how parent let their kids play this type of game online.

i let my 2 kids(11 & 5) play in sp but not online, for 2 things, first i dont want them to get frustrated/stressed by all the griefin and 2 because they would just mess up my stats!

There's a difference between GTA then and now. This game is much more meant for adults. Honestly, how hard is it to just get your kids a different game?

There's fully 3D dicks and bump mapped topless girls too.

I played GTA when I was around the same age, but you're right. The worst thing I had to worry about was my parents hearing the swearing. So I always played the game down low.

I don't think there was as much swearing either back then was there?

More in the lines of GTA Vice City onwards. GTA:SA is what I had to watch. I'm from that generation.

We're in invite only sessions so we don't have to deal with whiny BS from the "youths." Get off my lawn, etc.

This is eye-opener, thought provoking and very scary but whatever I'll probably still play games at the age of 80.

53 here, been a sucker for the GTA Series since III came out. Now my daughter's all grown up & has 3 kids of her own, I've got plenty of free time for V. I've met quite a few older players online, in fact I think this is the 3rd thread I've posted in on this topic.

Currently playing on PC.

Well I look at it this way. How many adults watch television? The same boring shows everyday. Even films are becoming redundant. In the world of gaming there are such great stories, cinematics and creativity. I see no difference in coming home from work and gaming or watching the tele...

Don't get me wrong I'm not against it, in fact, I wish I'd found more mature players online, regardless of age. Just that I never stopped to think of how many actual grown ups play games on a regular basis and not casually and the thought scared me a little bit but I'm over it now xD

I´m 22 years old,it´s not really "older" (I would guess for a gamer 30+ is "older"),but I´m an adult. However,I started playing GTA when I was a kid,I first played GTA 2 when I was around 10 years old.

Well times are changing. V was the most mainstream game of all time. Many people got their first taste of video games with V. The average age of a "gamer" is in the 20s anyway. One part of this topic is the prior stigma associated with video games. Older generations have a biased view of games and they think games are something "kids will grow out of". When I was 14, I thought this too. Then college came and guess what, almost everyone in my dorm was already a gamer. And even now, as I'm working, I make time to play on the weekends usually.

Anyway I think we're at a point in which gaming is viewed as normal entertainment activity (as it should be) alongside other mediums like tv and books. I expect myself to be playing games until an old age, although at a casual gamer rate. I'm in my 20s btw. First system was a SNES and was a nintendo fanboy for a long time. Got into pc gaming in the late 90s.
