I played GTA for the very first time in high school (Junior year?) and it was Vice City. I was so impressed with it that I preordered San Andreas (Always bought games used). I stopped playing in 2005 due to a increased school and work load. I bought GTA IV used and fell in love again with the series. I am 29 and I play almost everyday along with my 25 year old wife who plays regularly. I stay low key in Public Lobbies and use the mute button often. My wife on the other hand prefers to talk sh*t to the various annoying types you typically will find lol

I'm almost 21. I have started playing GTA when I was 10. Maybe I was too naive or just how my I was raised but I didn't really understand the concept or the stories I just liked to drive around.

I didn't really get into it until Vice City.

I was in a death match with a 12 year old and he had more colorful vocabulary than I did at that age.

I don't mind the younger generation playing it's just shocking how they act nowadays.

Forgot the main topic of this post-

I've spamming these gold ole' forums since I was 13 or so, I'm 20 now.
I only play clean, but I can't even connect to a lobby with other people because of my internet so I just solo every thing.

36 and ticking. I don't allow my kids 7&10 to play.

And if they're around when I play, the volume is all the way down. If they were to speak like the little sh*ts that I hear on GTAO, I'd kick their asses up over their ears.

There's a trick to that: Settings -> Audio -> Output Voice chat through speakers -> Off.

Unless you're kids are wearing a mic, they won't hear any chatting :-). I do this for myself when I don't want to hear the crap they talk lol (No need to constantly mute people) - But I also have a mic, so when talking to friends I can hear them)

On PS3, they're in my crew. We have a few young whippersnappers but the majority are 21 and over. Hell, I'm damn near 40,but act like I'm 12 sometimes.

Same here, but I have found that I do enjoy playing with people closer to my age group.

video games are for children

we adults have more productive and responsible things to occupy our time with XD

in all seriousness though, kind of bored with this game, none of the updates-dlc´s really added anything worthwile

and the community seems to be comprised of idiots mostly

I have yet to see it stated so accurately, well done!

I now only play to get new crew members leveled up, unless they ask, I have more important crap to do.

If you get this reference from the first two lines of dialogue alone, congratulations you are old, amazingly awesome and/or both.

Cheers!

ARTHUR: Old woman!

DENNIS: Man!

ARTHUR: Old Man, sorry. What knight live in that castle over there?

DENNIS: I'm thirty seven.

ARTHUR: What?

DENNIS: I'm thirty seven -- I'm not old!

ARTHUR: Well, I can't just call you `Man'.

DENNIS: Well, you could say `Dennis'.

ARTHUR: Well, I didn't know you were called `Dennis.'

DENNIS: Well, you didn't bother to find out, did you?

ARTHUR: I did say sorry about the `old woman,' but from the behind

you looked--

DENNIS: What I object to is you automatically treat me like an inferior!

ARTHUR: Well, I AM king...

DENNIS: Oh king, eh, very nice. An' how'd you get that, eh? By

exploitin' the workers -- by 'angin' on to outdated imperialist dogma

which perpetuates the economic an' social differences in our society!

If there's ever going to be any progress--

WOMAN: Dennis, there's some lovely filth down here. Oh -- how d'you do?

ARTHUR: How do you do, good lady. I am Arthur, King of the Britons.

Who's castle is that?

WOMAN: King of the who?

ARTHUR: The Britons.

WOMAN: Who are the Britons?

ARTHUR: Well, we all are. we're all Britons and I am your king.

WOMAN: I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous

collective.

DENNIS: You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship.

A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes--

WOMAN: Oh there you go, bringing class into it again.

DENNIS: That's what it's all about if only people would--

ARTHUR: Please, please good people. I am in haste. Who lives

in that castle?

WOMAN: No one live there.

ARTHUR: Then who is your lord?

WOMAN: We don't have a lord.

ARTHUR: What?

DENNIS: I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take

it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week.

ARTHUR: Yes.

DENNIS: But all the decision of that officer have to be ratified

at a special biweekly meeting.

ARTHUR: Yes, I see.

DENNIS: By a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs,--

ARTHUR: Be quiet!

DENNIS: --but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more--

ARTHUR: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!

WOMAN: Order, eh -- who does he think he is?

ARTHUR: I am your king!

WOMAN: Well, I didn't vote for you.

ARTHUR: You don't vote for kings.

WOMAN: Well, 'ow did you become king then?

ARTHUR: The Lady of the Lake,

[angels sing]

her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur

from the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I,

Arthur, was to carry Excalibur.

[singing stops]

That is why I am your king!

DENNIS: Listen -- strange women lying in ponds distributing swords

is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power

derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical

aquatic ceremony.

ARTHUR: Be quiet!

DENNIS: Well you can't expect to wield supreme executive power

just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!

ARTHUR: Shut up!

DENNIS: I mean, if I went around sayin' I was an empereror just

because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me they'd

put me away!

ARTHUR: Shut up! Will you shut up!

DENNIS: Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system.

ARTHUR: Shut up!

DENNIS: Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system!

HELP! HELP! I'm being repressed!

ARTHUR: Bloody peasant!

DENNIS: Oh, what a give away. Did you here that, did you here that,

eh? That's what I'm on about -- did you see him repressing me,

you saw it didn't you?

tl;dr - I'm not dead yet.

I remember watching that with my best mate and my dad, just after my wife got pregnant with our first. The Camelot song comes round and just at the right time I sing along with "I have to push the pram a lot" and we all cracked up. Good times.

dang, nice to know there are a few other pre-geratrics here. let's just say i was born when Pong came out.

LOL! I cried for Pong when my mom wouldn't let me play. my first rage quit came from my brother getting the bank shots on me in Combat.

I'm old enough to remember playing E.T. & being over joyed... (it wasn't great)

next month I'll be buying a PS4 to celebrate my 40th birthday. anyone know where I can get some mini-tennis balls to put in the thumb sticks?

Even though I'm 17, I hate this generation. Completely.

Though age sometimes isn't the main thing. You can have a 13yo kid and he's mature, but meet a 30yo adult with a family with the maturity of a 5yo kid. Its natural.

I turned 50 in June, and I'm in Los Santos on a daily basis making money and making trouble with my crew members comprised of like-minded grumpy old farts. We like to get together and talk about Matlock episodes while we grind out missions.

Hey man you still play gta5...I'm on xbox 1...44 yrs olds

I've been playing computer games since the days of the ZX81, along the way I've 'tripped over' and still posess (in no particular order) those PONG games you plug into the tv, the Spectrum, BBC Micro, Amiga, Sega Master System / Mega Drive / Saturn / Game Gear, Gameboy, Atari Lynx, PCs, a pile of vintage handheld games including classic Nintendo Game & Watches and a nice collection of wristwatch games, but now mostly inhabiting planet Xbox 360, the GTAO island :)

I'm 45 and happy to see I'm not the oldest. :D It's a nice diversion from being the family guy most of the time. I'm sure my wife thinks I'm insane.

I remember going nuts when my dad brought home Pong, and begging my parents for an Atari 2600. I learned computers on an Apple II and Radio Shack TRS-80. After they gave in, I still lusted after the Odyssey II/III (read up on Ralph Baer, the guy who basically created the video game world), Intellivision and Colecovision.

I went through years of trying to get various games running on always-outdated PC's, then my GF at the time got me into zombie games like Resident Evil and playing on the original PS1. I then stared playing GTA III when I was 30 and got hooked on it. Been busy killing on and off ever since.

I have done Heists with some really young kids who I'm sure hadn't even reached puberty (I guess that's what the term "squeakers" comes from). As long as they're good shots and reliable (some really are), I'm fine with it.

I'm now 27 and have been playing and completed every single gta since the very first one came out.

I actually remember Playing the first gta on a demo disc before it even came out when I was like 8-9 lol

It does get quite frustrating listening to little kids telling me what to do during missions and heist.

Like really? I've been playing the gta series since before most of these kids were even born...
