What's the highest player K/D ratio you've ever seen?

Higher than was legitimate.

Anything over 2.0 is dubious. Anything over 5.0 is illegitimate.

Anything above 2.0 is not that suspicious. I have a 3.5 K/D in Halo 5 and that game doesn't have auto aim or unnaturally fast strafing. Jet griefing can really increase K/D significantly, although that might be what makes it dubious. Standard deathmatches isn't too hard as well, with max health of course.

OT: 99999 and I'm pretty sure that's not legit

1.71 is mine. Being as I started out nkt really understanding GTAO and stats etc, I've done ok to keep me 440+ kills up.

And yes, I have a small penis.

I've seen obviously fake KDs like 1000+ but highest legitimate KD has probably been around 15 I think. Most people above 10 are usually the type of people to wear bulletproof helmets with armor suits and they commit suicide when they're about to get killed so tbh I don't consider that legitimate. Anyone between 2 and 10 is most likely just a good player unless they use jets and leave the lobby or go passive when their jet blows up.

I'm not saying everyone with 10+ KD abuses the suicide feature but most of them do and it also depends on what level they are. I'm level 289 with a KD of 4.91 but I very rarely use jets and never commit suicide on purpose so if I played long enough to get to like level 1000 I might have a legit 10+ KD so take people's levels into account when judging if someone's KD is legit.

Social club says my K/D's a 4.97 (30604kills and 6153 deaths) Don't know why it says that on there since in-game my K/D's a 2.37 (Level 168 on one character 203 on the other)

Lot of butthurt players I see here, mainly the ones who say k/d means nothing after it has already been said 50 times.

Also how does one hide in a jet? It should be a very clear blip outlined as a jet on your minimap.

Meh. I know lots of people around 2.0 and a handful with 3+, and those are just from my personal friends. I've got a 3.7ish and I never go passive, never wall breach or use other glitches/exploits, rarely use EWO, and rarely get in a jet unless it's to take down another jet. And I run into players as good as or better than me regularly. I think you'd be surprised what can be accomplished legitimately in a game like GTA Online, where the tools are unbalanced to begin with and the player base has a vast range of skill (wider, IMO, than most shooters like CoD or Halo; GTA has far more players that are stunningly inept at PvP, or just don't even try at it).

"Hiding" in this context means you are out of the reach of most weapons and vehicles. Similar thing with rooftop snipers - you're "hiding" by picking away at targets so far from you that they can only fight back by sniping too.

K/D is more meaningful the higher the actual kills & deaths you have. Like the guy above as a new player with 65.0 k/d because he hasn't been killed yet, let's check that k/d when you reach rank 100+ and at least 20+ days of gameplay.

Similarly, a player may have a 4.0 K/D with 100 kills and 25 deaths. But is he the same skill level as a player with 10,000 kills and 2,500 deaths?

Some of the BEST shooters I know have a K/D of around 1.00-1.50 probably because they play RNG training facility non-stop... regardless, these players can drop ANYONE with instant headshots.

I think K/D is more an indicator of someone's playstyle rather than their skill level. A lot of "high" k/d players (3.0+) tend to play like bitches (EWO, passive, jets), this is generally the case but not always, of course.

Last time i checked my KD was 4.25 on my main account and on my second account i started out as a low rank in a jet and my KD was 89.00 and no deaths.

I have to disagree with those people that are saying over a 2.00 K/D ratio is illegitimate. Not that it matters, but I'm over 4 and thats pretty much from sniping griefers in freeroam, deathmatches and Power Play (love that mode :D).

I actually seen a legit 400+kd. I knew he was legit cause he was broke as hell on the game and always wanted money.(he coulda got his modded money taken away idk) His level was 437. He had been playing since the game released and said he passive kills and all kinds of other cheap ways like waiting for people at los Santos customs. Or waiting for them to come out of their garage. Or wall breaches he said lol.

Everyone has seen player with K/D in the hundreds and thousands. It's all a lot of nonsense. When the game first came out two of my friends set up second accounts on PS3 and took it in turn killing each other to boost their K/D. I never did as it always seemed a waste of effort.

There are two K/Ds shown in Social Club - one is definitely PvP and the other seems to potentially be for all kills and deaths, so includes cops and mercs etc. For example, I've got K/D of 3.87 when looking at career stats in Social Club, but a K/D of 12.74 when looking at the weapon stats.

With all the play styles in this game k/d is kinda meaningless. But my friend has a legit 15. He doesn't start fights but he finishes all of them.

I think a high quantity of kills should be taken into stronger consideration than KD.

A runner / KD padder (idle-only killers, jet-only griefers) with only 2K to 10K kills with a high KD means nothing to me compared to a primary-ground player with 50K kills with a lower KD. The more chances a player takes to get a kill (jet aside), then the more likely the player will be killed by another.

Also, using seven7sins glitches like PERM OFF RADAR (which has become stupidly popular as of late for scrubs), a modded 'hyper' run or wall-breaches are all disqualified from my consideration. Those players are all garbage, and I never take them seriously or fight with them because it's pointless. I have invited 100% of them to DM or Adversary and all of have been scrubs if they accepted the invite.

JET-exclusive players: I recognize their ridiculously high KDs, but I consider them in their own category compared to primary ground players.

I can't say that I care nor even look at most K/Ds unless I'm hosting a job and happen to see that they are obviously modded. In that case, I just kick them from the job and move on. However, since modding a K/D ratio is very much possible and often something you see, this initial question is quite meaningless. Also, if you were to analyse things based on a legitimate standpoint, it would be a bit like comparing it to race wins; the game doesn't take into account how you obtain those kills (wins) or who they were (outside of victim/arch enemy), so it's all rather subjective--especially when the additional weapon stats and the like are combined with NPC kills.

The obsession with K/D is ridiculous though; I suppose it's alright to set personal goals based on your method of game play and so on, but some people seem to be convinced that this one stat defines you completely as a player and (in some cases) makes you more or less of a person as a whole. My response for the latter: "who gives a good f*ck; no one (with any sense) is impressed by some ridiculous GTA stat (that is often vague, suspect, or downright false) of a stranger they don't even know in the real world. Get a life or GTFO."

I've personally killed 53.5K, and have been killed 40.6K. Probably 98% is strictly from combat jobs though.

Saw some rank 4000 kid with a 35.00 KD/R, I wonder how that is possible

I also saw a rank 4 kid with the name "STAFF 4 MICROFT" with a 15.00 KD/R.

Probably just farming kills and jumping to new lobbies. My KD/R is around the 2.50 range, but i don't really care.

Well the rank 4000 will tell you its an obvious modded account but a 35 k/d is quite possible. I have a 25 k/d on one of my accounts and would be even higher if it werent for being accidentally(or was it lol) killed by friends.

Another friend of mine had a k/d in the hundreds legit.

Smooth Longsack

KDs in the hundreds are far less likely now that there are explosive sniper rounds. Jets were the only way to have the god-tier kd back day. The party is pretty much over and i don't really mind. I've done the dance and impressed my friends. That's all that matters. Now you'd have to use the MOC/APC and zentorno reverse all day but ain't nobody got time for that.
