On the gta5 stats website, highest is 128, although I'm sure there are people with way higher k/ds legit or not

I've never cared for it at all since I don't kill other players, but I've created another account where that's all I do and I'm currently at around 4 or so

I can tell you my opinion about high K/D ratio. I have recorded and stored over 700 hours of gameplay and I have seen many strange things.

Players with a very high K/D (like 10 or above) is having an "artificial" K/D ratio. This K/D is only obtained trough "Cheating", being a "Coward" or is having "Low Level Luck".

If you want a high K/D, then do this:

1) Create a new account

2) Do massive griefing with the Jet

3) Each time you die, cut the power immediately to prevent the death from being saved.

4) Rinse and repeat

Voila high K/D...

That has to be the most cowardly way of achieving high K/D ratio of all. Except for glitchers and modders, there is actually nothing that is more worthless in this game than a jetfag. I encourage everyone who comes across one to

1) Report for griefing

2) Vote to kick

3) Put bounty

4) Change session

Voilà, pissed jetfag...

So, if you have 1 kill and 0 deaths, what's your KD ratio? You can't divide by 0.

You actually can divide by zero, but you might end up scorching the earth in the process.

OT: Highest I've seen is 10. Mine was at 1 last time I checked. I don't care about it much since I don't do deathmatches.

I'm not doing it that way, because that would ruing my recordings when I record my gameplay. I have recorded 95% of all gameplay since Day 1 (over 700 hours), and they are all in average 1 hour long. Some are 30 min long, while others might be 1 hour and 30 min or 2 hours long. I can easily prove that I have not done this myself.

But what I described above is what I have seen other players do when I play or check my recordings after I have played. Players with high "artificial" K/D they do cares a lot of their K/D and they will do anything to protect their K/D, such as teleported around the map when they are about to be killed, or commit suicide repeatedly, or quit immediately when they get killed or lose the bounty to prevent the death from being saved.

Yes it is cowardly which I have mentioned earlier.

1.54 for me. The highest was 3X.XX in a session but he was a god moder. Glad I pissed him with my tank.

I entered a DM and some guy had a K/D ratio of 32.55 and I was like damn I hope he doesn't end up on the other team. He did and yet I owned his ass and got the MVP.

My measly little 1.57 is laughable but it's legit and I work hard at not dying.

My K/D is 215 and will increase by one with every kill.

I made a new account and bought the garage in North Chumash.

If somebody is outside at Fort Zancudo I change the session if not I go out, get a jet and terrorize the lobby till I crash.

I was killed three times, two times by the stupid R* game mechanic. One guy sniped me and damaged my jet. I crashed one minute later and he got the kill. The second time I crashed into a cargobob I shot down a second before. The pilot got the kill and I left the game immediately and the death didn't count.

The third time I crashed into another jet and I left the game...

After 196 kills I became a dodgy player but I don't know how many personal vehicles I have destroyed.

BoJack Cognac

Players will say things like "Your k/d is garbage" after I kill them.

Then I kill them again by kamikaze and they say "Your k/d is garbage".

Then I explode both of us and say "What's a k/d and why does it matter?".

Lol! Mine is at 4.49, but I don't really care. I do care about how good I am at my ground game, but not at the actual K/D itself.

Edit: I am a straight up free roaming killer.

Highest K/D I've seen was 2000:0. He was a pilot and didn't leave passive if he wasn't in a jet. I've personally reached 107:0 before I finally died, but I wasn't living in a jet/tank or glitches/godmode/mods nor passive. I ride streetbike & ground game. Buzzard every now and then and jet ONLY if I have to (other decent jets or buzzard pilots in air). I would consider mine legit. If the K/D is legit, the player is just smart about his actions, and avoids the center of hotzones if on ground, choosing his targets wisely and using tactics to stay alive and kill. Steady moving at all times. By tactics, I mean actual strategy to his every move.. dashboarding, shutting off Xbox or any other cheap way to raise K/D is not a tactic. If the K/D was obtained by actual legit gameplay, his K/D can be perceived as a playstyle. If not, it's just another meaningless number, because it was obtained via glitches/mod/godmode.

There are legit K/Ds out there, servers are just infested with cheapskates that boast about their K/D only to be seen hiding in a glitch or unkillable via godmode, so it makes the legits look as if they obtained theirs the same way.. Spectate is a great feature they put into GTAO and you can quickly tell if that high K/D is legit or not by watching him for a few minutes. I'm currently about to hit 9 K/D and I still haven't used one glitch or cheap way to maintain that.

EDIT: Oh, I also don't pick on low levels.. I'm usually the lower level fighting higher levels.

Currently 1.40, I'm working on getting K/D back up to the 1.41 it was before the Team Deathmatch event weekend, where I unlocked the 500 Deathmatch Kills tattoo. And my k/d was at .60 something when I discovered stats tracking sites, and set about improving that and the number of kills vs deaths, after I got griefed a lot when I started GTA Online. 5269 kills vs 3755 deaths.

For the past few months, most of the time I just go after the highest rank players in the lobby. I like getting more value out of my kills rather than just spawn killing level 20's and strafing in jets all day. I know how bad I can be on a bad day, but I also know how dominant I can be on a good day :)

Mine is 14 from mostly pre patch tank and I have never turned the power off when i got killed you have some SERIOUS issues if you start doing that sort of thing. To the point that Pathetic don't even cover you.

I have a 8.53 now and will be in the 10's soon. Been playing since day one on the 360 and have never turned the power off after getting killed. If I keep playing the way I am I should hit 15 eventually.

I play the game purely for sniping, was the same with GTA IV and because of that my K/D is 19.64 which puts me in the territory of looking like a modder/hacker and so everytime i go on people call me a hacker etc, i've been reported purely because of my K/D in the past.

Was accused the other day because i sniped at a Cargobob on Maze Bank, it blew up and killed the player next to it, reported for hacking. Find myself now trying to lower it just to get some peace.

As for the actual question i was in a game with someone with a 302 K/D, he was a hacker, after a while he crashed his jet into the floor and was stood there after the explosion.

Mines 1.61 lol

But my "drive-by kills as driver" is 1,938 which I'm kind of pleased about as this counts as free aim kills.

Level 666 godmoder dropping 2000$ bundles from his friend's character's ass and exploding everyone in the lobby, even those in passive mode, together with a KDR of 12.00. Suspicious? I think yes. On PS3 on December 30.
