Hello guys, well guess what? I haven't been able to join one GTA Online session since the first day of the game release . I always get the error mentioned in the title whenever i try to create a character, or start any kind of session. I have tried: connecting to another router with a different ISP (just to make sure the problem is NOT from my ISP)and reinstalling game data/patches over 5 times. So guys please i need that kind guy that will provide me with other steps to try that may fix that error. P.S: I don't want someone to tell me change DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 since i tried that. BTW I'm on PS3.

Check your internet connection it might be not fast enough, it happened to me then I upgraded my plan...

Rule out..

If the problem is caused by Hardware or Software bugs on your console.
Try the game on another PS3. Borrow GTA V from a friend and try it on your console.

Parental Control (sorry for asking, but I gotta).
Tjek the Parental Control Settings on your console. Make sure it's set to [Off].

The possibility of any corrupt game save files.
Backup all GTA V Story Mode files in the (Save Data Utility) to a USB device temporarily.
Then delete the GTA V files in (Save Data Utility). Start GTA V Story Mode from the beginning.
Play the intro until reaching the point, where the game are save-able and save your progress.
When done, connect to GTA Online and try to make a new character.
If this works, say goodbye to all the old Story Mode progress (the files on the USB device).
No luck, bring back all the files again from the USB device, to the (Save Data Utility).

Thank you guys very much for trying to help me, but apparently nothing of these fixed my game, and i have a 6mbps connection so I'm sure its not from my internet.

I used to get this message when trying to host my created games. All the troubleshooting was a waste of time, and there was some kind of bug on my profile that had to be corrected by rockstar on their end.

 

I would suggest calling(worked for me) or emailing rockstar support and asking for a bug report that you can fill out. After I did that the problem was fixed in a few days.

I have emailed them four times, and it ends by telling me to contact my ISP, but i have already tried several ISPs.
