Favorite and Worst missions?

My favourites vary from time to time. We play them all really.

1. Mixed Up With Coke - Done with two super cars in about 1 minute.
2. Extradition - I love taking out bulk police forces whilst someone else delivers the package. I once used this mission to acquire and lose 5 star wanted levels for one of the Platinum Awards. A crew member came online whilst I was in mission, joined / spectated and was shocked cause I was up to 170 kills. I wrapped it up at 176 I think.
3. Out of Harmony - I use to find this one very frustrating and hard but my crew finally has it down pat. One or two of us take the position on the hill above, you can sweep across the whole area and roll / strafe backwards between shots and reloads to use the hill as cover. Best if there's one person attacking from another angle so the bad guys don't know which direction to take cover from.
4. Stocks & Scares - Enjoy it even more since they increase the difficulty of it. It's been temporarily removed for the moment but.
5. Hard Labor - Not a payout worthy of the effort but it's a lot of fun to work as a team. One person providing Buzzard air support and another to go in and extract the packages.
6. Trash Talk / Crystal Clearout III / Judging the Jury / Defender - Any mission that can be done from start to finish in a Buzzard is fine by me.

Tip with Extradition:

 

Most people don't realise that there's two Lazers waiting on the run way at Sandy Shores airport. If you head out there before anyone breaks into the army base you can snare these without any resistance, this gives you the jump on the Informant plane as you can fly in and blow him up before he even takes off.

But if you get out there and they're within view and someone breaks into the army base, then they will take off and be piloted by NPCs, so take care.

Well, I can't say my fav because I like so much of them.

 

But, by far, the worst has to be GTA Today. It's worse than all of Zero's missions from SA combined. You NEED 4 players to have a chance of doing this pile of tit mold. Any randomer who joins just leaves in a flash. Okay, how about my friends who still play GTA. There is the level 160 who is like "Missions? HA! Money glitches masterrace, bitch!" Or how about my level 6 friend? ""New GTA came today? SWEET!" Or maybe the level 90? "R-R-Rooftop R-R-R-R-umble...?" *injects needle into arm*

Right now I have two favorites and three worst missions.

 

Favorites

 

1. The Los Santos Connection. Despite the dissapointing payout this mission is the best in the game at least to me. Instead of stealing documents and giving them to someone you actually have to do a varied list of things that are both fun and hard. As far as I'm aware it's the only mission in the game that you have to hack and chase down a plane.

 

2. Stocks and Scares. Not much of a description for this one other than the fact that I just like it more than a lot of others.

 

3. No Hay Bronca. I know if you compare the two that they seem like two totally different missions altogether but when doing this mission it reminds me of the last mission in GTA:SA when you have to infiltrate the Condo and kill Big Smoke. The main thing that reminds me of it is pretty much the bit when you have to kill a lot of gang members then chase after and kill the leader. I know payout on this mission is pretty crappy but I play to enjoy not to graft and work.

 

 

Worst

 

1. Rooftop Rumble. Although it has the best payout in the game after doing it 3 times, Even seperately it becomes soo repetitive and boring that you don't even look forward to 18k.

 

2. Coveted. Whenever I play it with an extra person or even a full lobby the enemies flash in and out and whenever you get one of them in your sights they turn invisible. When you try to do it alone the helicopter chasing you beast modes you into the ground.

 

 

Unrelated but this is also one of the reasons that I hate coveted. Once I played it with this one guy who seemed good he was getting kills and clearing out the landing site just fine, This is modern Coveted by the way, When everything seemed good he decides to fly the chopper which I think will go well juding by how good he was at clearing out the landing area.

 

However this was a mistake, Since one of us needs to be the gunner to take out the attacking chopper I have to do that job since the roll of being the pilot is already taken, But, Right when I need space to aim and open fire this numbskull doesen't take into account that for me to be able to shoot he needs to maneuver to left and/or right and point me towards the chopper but no this guy decides to continue flying while the enemy fires at us and causes the chopper to start smoking without taking notice that I am unable to aim and shoot. His brain finally switches on and I eventually get to take a shot and by luck I manage to kill the pilot first and the chopper crashes but at the end he drops the crate instead of flying low and just letting the game do it's stuff so we have to spend 10 minutes ramming the crate with cars because he managed to lodge it under a wooden lamppost.

 

I know that should be in the stories thread but that actaully is the reason why I don't play Coveted anymore.

Chopper Tail is my new favourite now since Rooftop Rumble went to sh*t.

RR is actually a solid mission in it current form. It actually takes skill to do solo and there is more to it with getting the document than before. Its not a great mission but its definitely not bad.

Same goes for Coveted. I actually really enjoy sniping all the goons, it presents a fun, enjoyable challenge.

 

The only reason I see for people to hate these missions is because they are sick of them spamming out the job list/mission lobbies. I could have seen how they could have been perceived "bad" before but not now.

 

Besides this, I completely agree with the OP

Rooftop doesn't take any skill to do solo, just common sense. Coveted is fun only bc I get enjoyment sniping the idiots, so I agree with you on that.

It's not difficult to complete with 2 competent players.

 

Beat me to the punch. Did it with someone today. The effort isn't much, just the time and distances involved. The Turismo is the hardest pick up.

 

As for Best and Worst I have a few surprises

 

1. RR Yes I said it. Easy mission with high payout

2. Extradition

7. Dead Metal (Piss easy, very quick and close to gerald)

8. Deal Breaker

9. Gassed up

10. Blow up 1 and 3

11. Richman

12. Pot Shot

13 Clearing the cat hout

14 A titan of a job

15 Base invaders

 

and a ton of others

 

Worst

 

1. RR. Boring

2. Coveted. was alright in the beginning, but boring

I love this topic, because I spend 75% of my online time (and RL time now that I think about it) doing missions.

 

Crystal Clear Out III: This is my favorite mission because I don't spend more than I earn and I can do it while running my Pimsleur French and Pimsleur Russian mp3s.

 

I also like missions that have that epic feel to them:

Los Santos Connection

Method in the Madness

No Hay Bronca

Base Invaders

Chopper Tail

Coveted (I actually love Coveted now, I feel like I've accomplished something when I complete it)

Pickup Sticks ( the music is great and NOW that I can solo it I love it!)

 

I hate:

Rooftop Rumble

Chasers (all of them, I hate car chase missions)

I just played The Los Santos Connection from Martin and I forgot how awesome it was. Definitely a favorite. I'll try some that you listed.

 

EDIT: It pays $30K, too. (best mission payout i think..?)

Its because you played it first time maybe? You get double the money for playing a certain mission the first time. Its 17k provided you picked up the money from the enemies and the crates.

The problem are the payouts of each mission, LSC needs to be like 25 payout, same with other ones.... but RR (boring and easy) but 18k every 4 minutes sooo...

There's a motorcycle cop on the way, but you can take her out preemptively by veering into her. Granger has more than enough speed and maneuverability for the job.

 

 

You can also avoid her completely by ignoring the GPS route and staying on Route 68. Make a clean break from the meth lab and avoid traffic you never see any red dots chasing you.

Honestly, It's just RR that's worth playing. Every other mission payout isn't worth the time. There's a mission (Can't remember the name) you clear out an entire ally of cops to get these documents, have to lose 4 or 5 stars. and get paid 5k. It's just a bit ridiculous.

And also, I have everything, I don't need RP or money, and I hate grinding missions.

i played it again got 40K too ..

Weird. I don't think there was any mission that payed as high as that. I only heard survivals used to make 50k on launch.

Gerald's missions played on hard are fun,like No Hay Bronca,but pay peanuts,all timed missions are crap,eg cops capacity,where's the Humane Lab mission gone? I will play any mission apart from RR,absolutely sick of it,new missions like Hit Em Up ,Pick Up Sticks and Hard Labor are great but payouts are ridiculous,so no-one plays them.This is what's ruining this game....

^^^ that and the fact that all the new ones are low level and 0 missions have been added for level 81 and over. Trash talk is currently the highest at 81 and its been that way since launch...

Landing Gear, Extraction, Diamonds are for Trevor, Chopper Tail, Stock n Scares, Pickup and Sticks, Crime Scenester, On the List and some others. The Gerald and Simeon missions are fun, but the payouts...

 

 

"GTA Today" is very fun and hard but payout is a joke, only 2200$.

 

 

Man, you or someone can host it for me (PS3)? Calling Simeon and Martin (Time to Get Away) all days without success =(
