Do those "1000000 RP" Deathmatches really work?

You know, you get invited to the stupid infamous "1000000 RP+money" deathmatches, which in reality is a spawnkill trap, where the host repeatedly shoots you in a jet while you are trapped in a small corridor.

Long story short, if I stay throughout the deathmatch and die repeatedly, will I really get a lot of RP.

(PS, I'm in the middle of one right now, and can't pause the game.)

Nope. The only thing that anyone gets from those is either a messed up K/D or an improved K/D.

There an RP cap of 5000 for any mission.

You get less RP for content created missions like that. And if you're not the winning team or the one with the highest K/D you're looking around 1000 - 3000 RP.

Waste of time and a hurt on K/D stats (if you care about it).

Don't care much about it, all it really says is that I'm an asshole who likes to kill people. (Which I may or may not be)

True. I posted a topic about K/D awhile ago. But typically the CoD kids that come here on GTA and boast about that. (As broken as this game is)

You make a ton of RP if you are the guy with the minigun, you can literally watch your bar go up.

OP if you beleive that, I should introduce you to the Nigerians who troll around Battery Park City, selling real Rolex watches for 30 bucks.

People who create deathmatches like this deserve a lengthy console ban.

I've never tried it but it's stupid. Host gets the RP. They're desperate for attention & plays.

I think it says a lot about the mentality of the average GTA:O player that when you host a decent deathmatch like Concrete, Maze, or Paintball, no one wants to join, but the promise of 100,000 RP reels in the suckers every single time.

Make sure you keep replaying that. I'm sure you'll eventually get 1000000 RP and $.

It really means "1000000RP for the lucky asshole who is able to get out of the trap and spawnkill everyone"

does anybody know how to host these? i can never figure it out

I believe you have to hold a really strong magnet up against your console as you go to the "Host Job" menu. Submerging your controller in ice water might work, too.

I miss these deathmatches and even had forgotten Paintball exists! I've long since given up on them since I don't get invites to them and hosting them is near impossible. :\
