..not such a good idea?

 

I'll expose some thoughts about how Content Creator is as of now and what is making of gta Online

 

I know this might be my thoughts but at the same time i have some valid arguments to say this.

 

 

1 - Less social playing.

 

At the beginning of GTA online everyone was joining GTA jobs or races, not only because it was new but also because the rooms would fill faster than if people were spread in some many created jobs.

 

2 - Poorly created content.

 

You have to admit (even if there are also some magnificent jobs made by people that actually took a lot of time in to making them) 90% of the jobs online are not exactly fun playing. some of those jobs are not even meant to be played, like deathmatches to actually go up to the sky in a ramp.

 

3 - 9jillion$ and 9giggowattsRP.

 

These seems to be the only thing people actually play, even if everyone know this was a stupid joke, some of the people still invite you to this jobs at all time spamming your phone at al time

 

4 - Wasted Los Santos.

 

Even if the world is actually amazing by itself, with lots of fun places to play. Creator jobs always reduce to not using nice places and use the environmental advantages to create something interesting. As the amount of created jobs is a big number, less chances to find people playing in nice jobs (Again, not talking about the 10% of people that creates really thinking about it)

 

And as a conclusion, for the end

 

5 - Reduced number of people playing jobs, races.

 

Everyone is playing free roam mostly. Is not an exclusive consequence to content creator, but with the jobs you can expect with points 1-4 in mind, people think a bit more before joining into a job. Is not that you are actually expecting to find a fun job when you click the join button in your phone

 

When there was no content creator, everyone would have expected to enjoy a job.

 

My only solution to it would have been if rockstar would have included more jobs into each patch instead of the creator.

1.- It's not because of that, and I still find full lobbies whether it's Rockstar Created, Verified or just User Created.

2.- It's not good creators fault the fact that 12 year olds don't know what the purpose of the CC is.

3.- If you see any of those jobs, report them and back out.

I'll tell you why people don't play so much races or DMs. Because GTA Online is money related, and they prefer to do a mission that pays $20k in 5 minutes than a DM or a race that pays the same in a longer time. It may also be because of those dickheads who create crappy races and crappy DMs and overshadow good creators like me or my crew.

OT: I think it has its ups and downs, it gives the players the ability to create whatever they like which is good for R* because they're always too lazy to create more good jobs, but for me I don't use it, I'm still waiting for mission creator or gangs creator, DMs and races are not my thing

I think the mistake is in having those creations come up in join random jobs.There has to be a better way to weed out the junk before subjecting all of us to it. I have played some really good unverified creations, but finding them with all the junk that comes up is not easy.

Or add a blacklist option like with YouTube comments, i.e. you won't join jobs that contain, for example, "000RP" and "999RP", so those who contain that in the title will be blacklisted.

 

And as I said, one doesn't mean everyone.

I agree with Joekill95, all we need is a simple basic toggle that should be no problem for Rockstar to implement and will allow us to filter only R* created and Verified jobs so we don't have to keep putting up with 8239840984 RP + 18948294 $$

Creative Content is art, but the perception of art is subjective to the viewer. What you make of it is up to you, and I'm not saying a race full of jumps is fun or good but it can be for someone else. I actually think there are absolute diamonds in the sea of sh*t out there, and can be really fun.

there are loads of good ones out there, and some in the gta forums. But whats the point of making the effort when Rockstar ignores them for jumps R Us.

In my crew, most of what we do is race eachothers tracks.

 

The Content Creator has allowed us to be creative and have fun in a variety of unique ways..

 

I know that a job sent from a crew mate will be fun, fair and well designed - I rarely play jobs made by the wider community, because the quality varies too much.

 

It's all about who you know...

I did about 50 races yesterday and more than half were just the same "Drive down the highways of San Andreas" races with [insert a large amount of cash here] titles and about a quarter of them were races that were already verified by R* only with the addition of yet more ramps.

They should make it so the content is online live when the owner is online if the owner want's the content online 24/7 than they could pay for it. It would seperate the nonsense creations from the legit ones.

15 minutes later my crew and I are having a blast beating each other senseless at the tittiebar (and getting paid for it)

 

Without CC ideas like Sumo Choppers (battle of the unarmed choppers) and "She shells sea sharks" would have never come to fruition.

 

CC is good for people with brains.

All we need is a filter for it. They have it when joining from the start option menu they just need to integrate that system onto the phone.

 

So instead of quick join dm u can quick join a rockstar created dm or quick join a user created dm. Same applies to races and so on.

 

This would fix the problem and all the negatives you mention would be reduced to a tiny fraction of what it is now.

 

I do agree with most of what u said Ihavent quick joined a dm in months because of all the 1000000))))))) 0000rp cash drp derp bs. That and im not having a fist or mellee fight.

You spawn on the ground surrounded by cabins and fences. Then there's one way up the cabins. Once you're up you have a sh*t load of guns (usually miniguns) to kill the people in the ground. Pure horse crap.

 

I played one a few days ago and the host set it to Owned + Pickups. That was madness. I could cap a guy across the enclosure with the Assault Shotgun.

No dude, they are a bane on this game.

 

As well as what zSaintX said, it can be one way out, to a single Buzzard, or a single gun. This way whoever gets there first gets to slaughter who didn't get there.

 

I did one last night, got the Buzzard and just hovered there shooting missiles at the other caged players. It was totally hollow. Why did I stay? I think I had reached that numb period late at night when part of my brain had shut down.

 

And obviously the payout is just standard. They waste my time because I normally just leave in the lobby, so have to reload and quick job again.

 

Not sure who is worse, the idiots making these or the idiots still hosting them.

 

OT: OP I hear what you are saying, but when it works, it really works well. I played a zombie story playlist last night which was absolutely awesome, a totally novel approach to Content Creation, really refreshing.
