It's clear that the community is tired of God-moders. I feel that the best way to rid GTAO of this scourge would be if R* actually had a sort of 'bounty' on their heads in the community.

 

For example, if you reported hackers, they could throw you $50-100,000 GTA$. This way, players would do whatever they could do claim rewards and force hackers off the streets. Maybe it'd even make widespread hacking nearly extinct. Got this idea after grabbing some great video of a guy being a dickhead in god-mode and reporting the crap out of him. Thoughts?

The problem with the in game money for catching cheaters is that some people will try to fake or tamper with evidence.

hackers are always going to find a way to get around sh*t. if R* knew the person was a hacker they would just ban them, not pay you. I hate the people who hack, but just get over it there are always people who are just assholes that's just how things go.

The point is that R* clearly doesn't have all the necessary resources to hunt down and discover every hacker on their own... hence why the 'banhammer' email feature even exists and why they've asked players to report cheaters with evidence.

 

Of course I'm not having some temper tantrum about cheaters over here, I understand they'll always exist. But that doesn't mean I feel the system in place to stop them is adequate.

Half of the players who killed me in god mode send messages taunting me. I don't even take them seriously because they literally think they are the best player in the server while they are invincible. Some black guy in god mode on his mic was like "AY BRUH YO SHOT WACK BRUH WHO YO DADDY BRUH" when I unloaded a barrage of machine gun shots directly at his face. So me and my friend joined his session a few hours later and spawn killed him in jets until he left, and my friend followed him to the other server and repeated the process with him haha.

I say put them all in the cheater lobby for a few months, and when they spawn in they are inside of a large bowl. They cannot turn on passive mode, cannot escape the bowl, and have no weapons. Legit players an then sit around the top of said bowl and shoot them as long as they want as they will respawn in the bowl. Putting people in cheater/bad sport lobbies does nothing because they can just continue their shenanigans.

 

An alternative is to change how the bad sport/cheater lobby timer works. Instead of simply setting a date for when they are released, i.e. 30 days, make it so that they must actually play for a total of 10 days ON the game. Oh you played for 37 minutes today? 9 days, 23 hours, 23 minutes left until you get out of bad sport/cheater lobby. This also ties into what I said above, because they would need to stand in the bowl for a total amount of 10 days to get out. You think 10 days is too long? Quit being a modding little bitch and play the game right.

 

This would need to happen after they fix the modding of course.

In due time all these exploits and glitches will be hammered out. I say R* has done a decent job in fixing the things broke in the game. If you look back at the patch notes from the beginning there are 100s of things that have been fixed. You are about some impatient f*cks. Like 2 year olds that want something and want it now...wah!!...wah!! God damn. Sit back and stfu, play something else if it bothers you so much. R* don't owe you sh*t. You paid for the game and agreed to purchase it as is. You should be grateful they continue expanding and fixing things to make it better. Flame me if you want but then stfu and play

A good way would be to reward proven reports with in-game cash, but only proven reports.

 

A better way would be to stop mugging us off every month and give us some proper gameplay features so 90% of the players aren't bored into arse-raping the remaining 10%.

Considering the next gen versions of the game aren't far away, I'm taking the assumption that they'll focus more on keeping those GTAO sessions in order, then occasionally check in on 360 & PS3 and make some recovery efforts.
