GTA V HAS UPDATED GAMEPLAY! After playing GTA V and going back to GTA IV, it felt like a total downgrade. Niko controlled awkwardly and animated even worse, driving feels like the roads are made of ice and shooting had the worst lock on i have ever experienced in a 3rd person shooter. You could argue GTA IV had a better story or say its better just because of some insignificant details like turning on the engine, its still a game that aged poorly and a game i would not bother coming back to since GTA V (gameplay wise) is a step up in almost every direction. The only reason I would come back is to play the story (which ill admit is better than V) or explore LC. And let's face it guys, the only reason you are defending GTA IV is to spite GTA V much like how people defended SA just to spite IV. And I feel confident people will start saying "GTA V was way better" when GTA VI comes out. Now would we stop comparing the GTA games already? Better character customization Better weapon customization better things to spend your money on better vehicles better details on map Better clothing options for each protagonists better boats, and other sea vehicles better car customization (Is this even a comparision???) Better side missions better shooting sound, and effects better car effects realistic effects in the environment, such as when you break the glass of a car, and when you step on it: it actually makes sounds that you are stepping over broken glass. MUCH better motorcycle driving psychics More and better melee weapons. See? Now to all you GTA IV fanboys who is gunna come this thread and try sarcastic and annoying jokes on how better IV is better than V, and to all TLAD fanboys who is gunna say that GTA V automatically sucks because Trevor killed Johnny: please, f*ck off. Although it sucks how people downplay that because "that's expected after years of development". Like? So? Those things are crucial, those are things that are not easily overlooked when going back to play an old game like IV. Yeah the story or side activities might be better, but it's not as fun to play with the outdated graphics and clunky controls/physics. Better vehicles? Yeah, if you like supercars. Those are all you find in V. They are less rare because of it, too. Side missions? That's subjective, but i'd much rather have vigilante, TLaD's gang wars, TBoGT's fight club, etc. Better shooting sounds and effects? If you like your guns sounding like airsoft, then sure. Better car effects? As in damage? Absolutely incorrect. Better motorcycle physics? Haha, you can't be serious. You can barely flip and do tricks in them, they drive like they're glued to the ground and overall just not as fun as IV's. More and better melee weapons? Sure, they're are more. Doesn't really matter if the melee system sucks, which it does in V.
