Mr. Love
Honda hubcaps and wheels in GTAIII's texture files. 2000 Honda Accord LX hubcaps. Honda symbol on Sentinel's rims. I remember seeing the ford symbol on the GTA III Taxi and Police car In the Beta of Vice City, it was the same for the rendition of the taxi/police car. Officer Ronson
Some promotional material for GTA III mentioned the then-newly elected president George W. Bush, and there was a Miami billboard. There was FBI instead of FIB, and so on. As much as it makes me cringe, I think the mention of Miami and stuff was made before they decided to do Vice City as a game. I don't see a problem with calling the FBI the FBI though, rather it was IV that made it weird and named then FIB because "lol the fbi lies social comentary" Yes this is me replying to a post from august, but didn't they change it because the real FBI didn't have anything better to do and got all pissy about them using the agency's name and R* had to change it? Payday 2 also did this by replacing Investigation with Intervention.
donnits
Don't know if this was mentioned, but didn't GTA VC, SA and IV use low quality images of the outsides of real-life stores to use over their 24-7 markets? I remember seeing Cheez-It crackers and stuff in one of the images. geraldflesy and Thejeffster

PowerKracker
Didn't Mitch Baker refers to his own bike as a "harley" when he tells Tommy to get it back for him? The Beta name for the Freeway (Mitch's bike) was "Harley". Well, some vehicles perhaps had names like this as placeholder. He could've been calling it a Harley as in the genericized trademark, as in the phenomenon of calling things after brands that are the most popular (any chopper = Harley). Of course, you can avoid those, but what about cases where there's no alternative? For example, the Polish word for bicycle is "rower", which is derived from the fact that the first modern bicycles in Poland were sold by the Rover company. What do Polish people in the GTA verse call bicycles then? Or is it a word with orphaned etymology? Xane_MM
universetwisters
Didn't Mitch Baker refers to his own bike as a "harley" when he tells Tommy to get it back for him? He just calls it a "hog", common name for Harley-esque motorbikes. Mr. Love

GTA_dog
1994 Vauxhall Cavalier wheels on VCS Landstalker. Close, but I'm just saying that to make you feel like you've assisted greatly when it's just low poly modeling and pure coincidence that these rims look similar. There's no Vauxhall badge on the rims. Mr. Love
Mr. Love
These rims on the GTAIV Cabby look strikingly similar to Vauxhall Corsa rims, as said here: http://gta.wikia.com/Cabby. These rims on the LCS cabbie look similar to 1996 Volkswagen Passat rims. Xane_MM
Nico
I agree with GTA_dog, just because they look similar doesn't mean they are real life products. To be real products they must feature a real brand. And none of those rims are real products, but parodies. MalibuClub, No. and Mr. Love 3 Did you see the frightened ones? PowerKracker
Throughout V I noticed that both Michael, Trevor and Dave Norton mention the army driving "Army Jeeps" I found it odd considering that they should have said Army Canis' to keep it canon It seems that while the brand is of course different, the generic WW2-originating term "jeep" still exists in the GTA world. The police radio in SA would also refer to some vehicles as "jeeps" as in the generic category (like "sedan" or "SUV"). GTA_dog
I remember seeing some Sony brands in Gta IV or TBOGT on appliances in safe houses. Warning labels and component slots on the back along with a logo. I remember there being a thread describing it long ago, providing pictures and all.
