Postnatal depression after Rank 120?

Anyone else struggle to find a purpose after achieving Rank 120?

 

Doesn't seem to be a point in the game or anything to strive for now. I have enough money, more RP will gain me nothing, and yeah.

future dlc will have higher levels to purchase stuff, well thats what i tell myself to keep leveling

Nope. My purpose and life long goal in GTAO is to reach rank 8000.

Just mess around. If the only thing keeping you around was leveling up, then you are playing GTA wrong. Otherwise, make a new character of the opposite gender to your first so you can kinda get new things. I did this and got it to level 60 or so before giving up and going back to my first due to lack of... stuff. (Guns, cars, upgrades, Pegasus vehicles, etc.)

Not really anything to do past level 120.

I keep wanting to do a 2nd character and start from zero but it took me months to get where I am (2 garages, 14 cars at the moment all done up, $1.8 legit in the bank). If I restart, it's going to be overwhelming and I'll give up but right now I'm just bored, waiting for new DLC. Most DLC so far isn't that great. The only stuff I've used from any DLC is the Special Carbine (love it) and the Dubsta 6x6 (best vehicle I own, happy to see you needed to be level 100 to get it but I was around level 180). I don't blow all my money on super cars because I'd hate to not have money as I worked hard for it. It's just a cycle of gaining money and losing money. I'm at the point where I do Simeon missions, don't care about money or RP (I don't care for RP at all, doesn't mean anything to me anymore). I'm sure he's happy, no one else does his missions.

i stopped caring about ranks once i reached my goal of unlocking the Heavy Sniper, now here i am 100+ levels later and still playing.

 

stop looking at the rank bar and simply play the game, try to enjoy the experience!

Yeah, high level incentives are lacking, as is any kind of "end game" component.

 

 

That said, there are things to keep you interested, but only if there are activities which you actually enjoy in the game. If you can get interested in the creator, that can eat up hours.

 

I never gave a sh*t about racing until the creator came out, but now creating and sharing races is a big part of my activites with my crew/freinds.

 

 

And seeing as another update with new stuff to buy is always around the corner, if you can find an interest in something that generates a lot of cash, all the better. My crew have taken to trying to do certain missions as fast as possible, more as a challenge than anything else. If you have a full party, and everyone has a specific role, some jobs can be done at a silly speed.

i dont pay attention, i just play the game and the bar fills up, some days not at all. i cant finish the session if i only have 1 or 2 bars left to level up though. im hoping rockstar does bring in more level exclusive items and vehicles to hopefully give players more incentive to play the game or reward the loyal ones who already are.

I play because real life is boring. I just mess about now showing random people my glitch only I know (gate-like launch glitch at Vinewood radio tower where you can launch your vehicle like a car cannon solo. Randomly works with people in cars too). Or like yesterday I got my airport bus, honked for people to get on, then initiated a police chase.

that sounds like a fun i'd want in on. but watch out for the god mod glitcher who blows everyone up. i was on a few peeps on a fire trunk followed by a bus. all got blown up except me.

yeah i went through the same thing. Then i started playing more with my crew and now im like 328 or some crap lol

kept my main at 187 and moved on to my second which is breaking lvl 90 or so.

 

i only pull out the high lvl when i come across some fool over 120 calls me a noob and tells me to go lvl up.

 

little does he know my 2nd char leveling consists mainly of high lvl red dot players, i don't rooftop rumble, i freeroam rumble.

If you are bored because you have nothing left to unlock, then stop playing.

 

You have to make up your own fun, challenges, and goals to be truly successful in GTAO.

lol @ comparing being bored in a video game to Post Partem depression. Some of you guys on here are delusional.

 

 

As for the actual point of the thread, sure it would be nice to have new unlocks at higher ranks, but I don't play the game for goals. I play for fun.

I got bored ages ago at 114 or so.

 

The problem I have is the game never changes no matter what rank you are.

 

Los santos is exactly the same as it was on day 1 of release. Nothing has hapoened that has made the game move forwards.

 

Whether rank 50 or 500 the game is exactly the same

2nd character shares your bank, future dlc will require higher ranks but for now just enjoy it, run missions, dm, and races keep building a bank balance and play for fun.

I've stopped looking at rank and just play the game as I want. I do all sorts of missions and don't care about the payout. I don't care about leveling up at all. The only funny thing about (higher) rank is that others always expect you to know everything, and in FR when I get shot at sometimes others will run away when I try to retaliate. 230 or so isn't that high though, 300 is getting there. But then again when I was lvl 50 I never would have thought I'd reach 230 some day LOL.

 

Oh, I pretty much always get messages asking to do some money glitching for them. I always reply: don't care and don't know how.

Been playing since Oct. Only level 68. If I ever reach 120 ima create secondary character.
