I'm sure the people who applaude Claude know he really hasn't much depth or personallity, that novelty being what they like about him.

Mute and souless Claude isn't imaginative, but he's sure the embodiment of GTA chaos and rampages.

No. Claude's mute blankness makes him easily most simple character to play.

I can't see him overrated just because he's gaining some recognition among other better personalities?

It has to be Trevor; most over-rated by far!

As a GTA V protagonist he seems pretty interesting, but overall, his storyline sucks and his horrible lines totally piss me off.

I find all the past protagonists much more interesting and also builds that attachment easily to remember them even after so many years.

To be honest, Tommy, CJ and Trevor... I consider these three as the most overrated ones.

 

About Claude, that silent, lone wolf type makes him more interesting, more strong character. What makes Claude is his this type. In some ways, he's sorta like Blondie from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

I think Claude's alright. He's lacking in the personality scale, but that doesn't bother me. Give him a job and he'll carry it out with no problem.

 

As I've mentioned several times, CJ is the most overrated protagonist imo.

You people are completely missing the point. This is about how people are depicting Claude right now. When GTA III was released, the character was just someone you control and make him out to what you wanted to make him. Now ever since his appearance in GTA SA, people started talking about him like he was his own character. Be honest. When GTA III was released, were you talking about how much of a badass he was? Of course not. And if he didn't appear in any other GTA or have his name divulged, would you still be talking about him? No you wouldn't, and you know it too.

and way to many people expect him to come back for no reason what so ever for example if anyone who dosen't know about the 3d and hd universe sh*t sees a black guy with blue jeans and white tank top they think its cj like the first trailer of gta 5 everyone thought that guy was cj.

San Andreas forums of course is going to have fans of that character. What kind of argument is that? That's like a person who owns a Ford, going to a Chevy forum and complaining that everyone there thinks Chevy's are so great. That's like going to a Coke forum and saying you love Pepsi. But on a forum dedicated to soft drinks, you're going to have people that like a whole variety of drinks, and if the most looked down upon drink on that forum was Pepsi, CJ would be Pepsi.

 

I'm talking about in general, from what I've seen most people hate on CJ. CJ, from what I've seen, can't be the most overrated, because I hardly see people who like him. Plus, at least he could talk, and had some kind of personality; but, that's not what we're discussing here.

 

And just because people expected him to come back doesn't mean sh*t. I remember that eople expected Tommy to come back when GTA:SA came out, until they saw that gravestone easter egg with Tommy's name on it.

Nah I don't think claude's popular because of SA, IMO I think Claude is a good protagonist, Silent though guy not bothered by what he gets asked to do, I like claude for his GTA III Attitude

Not at all. Him being given a name didn't trick people into thinking he was cooler, at least i don't think. Even if they did, not enough people like him to this day for him to be justified as overrated. Trevor's overrated. Even Tommy is overrated. I don't think Claude is at all.

Actually I consider Tommy V. the most overrated but sometimes I think Trevor is about to overthrow Tommy from his throne.
