bullsh*t aside I think some of the updates suggested sound awful. Flight School? The hell are you gonna do with a bunch of useless planes? God forbid rockstar adds a lock on rocket launcher so you can take down jets without using a sniper or another jet. I think the last thing we need is a bunch of useless planes and helicopters that have no weapons.

Erm, the Hydra has weapons, and the attack helicopter does as well.

of course it has weapons, but how boring is it to swoop down to take a bounty just to crash into a damn pole? planes have been dropping bombs since their inception and somehow this isn't an available feature? also about the only thing that can take down a tank quick is the hydra, it's still overpowered. Plus what the hell is up with the annihlator? It's broke as sh*t, you can barely aim the damn thing, if y

I don't form opinions for people to agree with me, that's why it's called <my> opinion. And wow, you're right, flying really is fun, but maybe that's why video games were made, for fun. You know what's fun? Trying to get into a military base to fly a dumb jet with no integrity and getting blown to bit by tanks, boy this game sure is exotic, I can't believe how many ways of useless transportation have been brought about since everyone was promised an innovating game experience.

as far as I'm concerned, my opinions are fact until I'm proven wrong, isn't that how law systems work? and I don't really see the point of flying around in a plane to get places if there's nothing to do besides joining missions or finding some pointless activity out of the 3 activities that exist in game, like wow, the last half useful thing they added was that hitman thing with lester but hey what's the point of completing that garbage for money when you're gonna blow it all on cars or ammo instead of doing something productive.

R* doesn't do sh*t so why care? They obviously don't care about us

While it seems like they don't, you, all of us, have no idea what exactly is happening at R*. Who knows, they could be working their asses off or are just slacking.

 

But if they wouldn't care, we wouldn't have FREE DLC's. We wouldn't have a game that at least is playable enough. If they wouldn't care, there would still be tons of DNS mods hurting the game, game's economy and CE owners (DNS mods were used by kids to get CE for free).

 

What happened to the last bajillion money glitches? That's right, they got patched/hotfixed because R* cares about legit players who don't money glitch and want to get money legitimately without seeing kids bragging "OMG I HAZ BILIONS". Yes, I did the money glitch myself, but now I have more cash than I know what to spend it on which feels... bad, because I did nothing to achieve this amount of cash.

 

Many people SP2MP'd the Buffalo S. Many people were complaining. R* decided to make it purchasable because they cared for both, glitchless gameplay and people who wanted the car legitimately.

 

Don't say that they don't care if it's obvious that they do.

 

Sure, we haven't got an update in weeks but you must remember that R* is trying to work on the Heists everyone is whining about and multiple other DLC's that will most likely be free.

 

Just like everyone, I'm disappointed about the lack of an update but I guess we gotta deal with it. At the very moment, they are probably trying to patch the god mode bullsh*t (or maybe even have done it and are working on other stuff).

 

Almost everything in your post can be explained by cash card sales. Obviously, Rockstar cares about making money. They used to care about their consumers as well. I guess, instead of caring about both, they felt they had to choose.

 

I agree about R* wanting money, they have to pay their employees, bills, etc., but they are not forcing you to buy cash cards. They are completely optional and you are not forced to buy them. They can give an unfair advantage against other players, but hey, they spend real money for virtual money while you can get it for free after grinding jobs for a while so it's their loss.

 

 

 

No, they are not forcing me to buy cash cards. However, they are nerfing payouts, inflating the values of items, and generally designing the world in such a way that making money, while possible, takes a considerable amount of time. Somebody like me, who has plenty of time to play, only finds it annoying that money takes so long to save up without glitching or grinding, but doesn't find the situation so untenable that I would need to buy cash cards. I also have patience, so if some new fighter jets and attack choppers come out soon, and I do not have enough money to afford all of them, I will wait as long as necessary to save up my money without spending real money.

 

Somebody with less impulse control, or spare time, might be inclined to buy cash cards. Younger kids are inclined to ask their parents for cash cards, unaware of the monster they are feeding. People who have lots of disposable income but who do not play the game very often might be inclined to buy cash cards. Essentially, this means that the market Rockstar aims to cash in on, are the people who play and understand this game the least. That means people like you and me, who actually play the game and understand how it works, are less valued than people who either don't understand it or barely give a crap about it. That means that when some gameplay feature is updated or changed, it is more likely to be something that will attract casuals rather than something that will please hardcore fans, as we do not provide them with any additional income, because we have no need for cash cards.

 

 

Additionally, the in game economy is so messed up by cash cards, that using rockets, grenades, sticky bombs, or grenade launcher ammo during deathmatches means that you can actually lose money. The economy of the game should not determine which weapons you can and cannot use during game modes that are intended to be for fun. People don't play some of the awesome Versus Missions anymore because the payouts are terrible. People don't do short Point-To-Point Races anymore because the payouts are terrible. People only do Rooftop Rumble because it provides the best time-to-money ratio. Instead of doing everything the game has to offer, people are forced to participate in only the most profitable activities, at least until they have enough money to burn to engage in something that is actually fun. And when they do host something fun and unique up, other people don't join because the times people have money to burn do not typically coincide with one another.

 

So, yeah, I would say cash cards have a drastically negative impact on the game. Rockstar should have gone with paid DLC instead, IMO. This would encourage them to release new content, and quality content, and it would not put pressure on them to completely abandon any semblance of fairness in the in-game economy in order to ensure profitability.

well other than people using gif replies instead of an actual well thought out response, i think the fact that they're slowly updating things shows how much they're progressing. I suspect that by the time the PS4 and other versions come out that the game will hit it's original potential before it actually turned out to be crap, turns out the free updates are either an apology or R*s way of saying "here's this game a year earlier than originally intended, for being such f*ck ups, you get free sh*t, the free sh*t is awful, and you won't get very much of it, but well, it's free sh*t."
