you know, i'm starting to wonder about the dukes. They said "for ps3/360 owners returning to GTA V the dukes will be exclusive"

 

could this possibly mean that the Dukes will be available for download on PS3/360 in the near future and not offered on PS4/XB1? it could be like the Roosevelt. Limited time only offer and only available on PS3/360 and therefore the only people who will have it on PS4/XB1 are those who bought it on the older system and had it in their garage during the migration? this seems plausible.

it would make sense though. it does 2 things.

 

1. it gets people who've stopped playing V to get back into it and possibly upgrade to the next gen.

 

2. it gets people who are definitely upgrading to get back into their current gen games to play some more and get limited content before they do the upgrade, increasing the chance of those people buying shark cards.

 

3. it keeps people who aren't upgrading happy because they are getting a car they want and not being f*cked over by having the car be exclusive next gen content.

 

the only people who get screwed are those who haven't purchased the game at all yet and probably don't even know the car exists.

 

 

It does go against what R* said about everything on 360/ps3 being available on PS4/XB1 though.

 

How else would they make the car only available to those who had prior versions of the game though?

and now i'm pretty much done with R* and their bullsh*t. I'm not paying $500+ to buy a new version of the same game. And to make the one car i really wanted from GTA IV in GTA V only available if i go out and spend another $500 on a new console or upgraded PC (mine's from ~ 2007) just to be able to have a car that should have been included in the first place? yeah not happening. I am beginning to wonder if i'll ever by another R* game after all the greed they've shown in the last year.

The dukes is a cool car that I've always wanted back, no doubt. But that is not the reason I'm getting the new gen game.

 

I don't understand people's logic about this. So if there wasn't a Dukes coming on the new consoles, you would buy the new game?

As someone who's invested over 63 f*cking days of play time into GTA:O, i feel a bit (ok a lit) ripped off that a car i've wanted from the beginning is now only available to me if i spend the better part of $500 on a new console and a game I already bought that has features that were promised that still haven't materialized (dare i say the infamous H word?)

 

to now take a car that many people have wanted and make it only available to people who will have spent at least $120 on GTA V, not counting the new console, is really sh*tty imo.

If I spend 63 days on a game and a better version comes out, I'd gladly put out how ever much it costs to upgrade. But, that's a personal choice, as for the dukes it'll come to ps3/360 eventually but for the meantime you just gotta wait.

Does this mean heists for next gen only pretty much is strong for speculating? Now that its 30 players + 2 spectators = 32

There's a limit of 30 players on the PS4 and XB1, so that still wouldn't make much sense (unless the "spectator" and "R* dev spectator" hidden player slots are available to the 2 extra players that mode would require).

30 players seems a bit odd. Perhaps they were rounding off, and it is actually 32? It's not that big a deal to me either way, it's just that based on the sizes lobbies tend to be from game to game, it is always powers of 2 (i.e. 2,4,8,16,32,64,128....). 30 seems strange, just because. No implausible, just strange.
