What if and this is pure speculation. But what if one of those locked character slots gets unlocked and he/she can be military or something. I don't know how it would work because I don't really want to get all my levels up again and stuff.

I had a feeling this might be the case. They could never get away with showcasing more detailed character models for an update billed for "Online" without actually letting us make our characters look either exactly like or close enough to what we've seen. The time between updates so far and their apparent inability to want to divulge more info till later today - along with the fact that none of the characters showcased looked anything like the ones we now play with - leads me to believe that the Character Creator will be getting an overhaul.

Man, I'm just glad they've opened their mouths for once and I'd be damned if I wasn't excited to hit the danger zone in a few new aircraft whilst wearing a flight suit. I like how a few characters were wearing the Marine Service Dress and Dress 3 (UCP) as well - I've only seen one character model wearing Service Dress, but there was one shot from the trailer which made me think that we'd be wearing them for ourselves.

 

Something's off about this update; I can feel it. Let's just say... I think I'm going to be pleasantly surprised come 2200hrs (or thereabouts) this evening.

So if the new character models are true, I guess it will come up with after we downloaded the update would you like to change your character or something. I dont know but I just hope its true. I bump into at least 5 people a day that look like my character. tbh its not that hard to add, they have all the models there from pedestrians, army guys, police and loads of others

Well, as this is still a speculation thread, I am going to wildly throw some guesses.

 

- I think that Rockstar still has a lot to offer that wasn't shown in the trailer. For example, they didn't show the Reserve parachutes.

- Probably, the vehicles that appeared in the trailer that aren't new will be available for purchase like other vehicles in previous updates. (Cargobob and Lazer)

- Hopefully an unlock for the Hydra once you pass all the flight school missions, if it hasn't been scrapped, that is.

- Plane smoke for the Besra?

 

I like how we get the Hunter pilot in the trailer btw, but not the hunter.

No f*cking way. That'd be sweet, but I think R* would have adverised it a little more considering a lot of people dont really like the way their character looks.

 

Also, when do you guys think this will be out? Like 1 AM ET or more like 5 or 6 AM ET?

With those character models in the trailer its kind of staring us in the face. Why would R* advertise GTA online with none online characters. Plus they said there will be game changing things coming in this update, payouts being one of them.
