Kind of off topic I guess, but whenever 1.16 may drop, I won't be able to enjoy it, my PS3 took her last breath this morning. We have been fighting this battle for about 3 months now, but she just couldn't fight any more. I first noticed she was acting a little funny, and she was breathing very loud. I knew something was horribly wrong when, one day, she just fell asleep for no reason, flashing her red lights. I waited until the next day, and everything was fine. I finally had hope in life again, and figured everything would be okay.

 

Fast forward to about a month ago, she started falling asleep more frequently, and most of the time, it was while I was doing something, like Netflix or GTA. I flipped her over, and boy, was those vents clogged up. I took a vacuum cleaner and carefully cleaned her out, and she was so clean and nice looking, I was confident that this had fixed the problem. I was wrong. Now, she turned off even MORE frequently, and most of the time, only 30 minutes after using it.

 

Had to give her a break for a while because of school and all that jazz, and just came back to her yesterday. I was so excited to play my favorite game after so long waiting. Got 5 minutes in, and boom, she shut down, beeped, and that was it. It was late, so I just went to bed and hoped it would be better this morning. Turned her on, she flashed green, yellow, then red, beeped, shut off, and that was the end....

 

This was such a long painful battle, talked to the Sony Hospital and they informed me that my system would have to be sent in for service, but it would be better just to buy a new one....

Happened the same to mine. It was the motherboard. I knew it when it beeped more than 15 times a day, and finally one day it died. I cleaned it up nicely with a brush just to see if dirtiness was the problem but nope. Tried more than 40 times and I still had that YLOD, so I switched to Xbox and my other one died in November (it was the Xbox Arcade) so I bought a used Xbox 360 S and oh boy. 250 GB and you feel it. I have more than 140 GB in games, updates and stuff.

 

I'm not telling you to switch to Xbox, I'm just saying that the problem MIGHT be in the motherboard and that is unfixable, or at least it's cheaper to buy another PS3 (my mother told me it cost 400 to fix it).

 

I think they said it would only be $79 plus shipping. I'm just deciding on whether to send it in and keep it or put it aside for a while and get a PS4.

I'm gonna pull a vishnu and try and get this back on track.

 

If the hydra is released, how will it stack up against the lazer?

 

Will the hunter be as fast as the buzzard? Will the copilot view be locked to the FLIR night vision?

 

As for the Hydra v Lazer, there's gotta be some sort of trade off. If the Hydra has VTOL, surely it's gonna be slower than the Lazer. But, with it being slow, it has the potential to have more armor and be more accurate. I'm pretty stoked about the Hydra, I really hope the update drops next week.

 

A similar thing will happen with the Hunter, tbh, I don't know too much about it as I usually don't fly the attack helicopters, the Frogger is my favourite chopper. I can't get away with the awkward flying style of the Buzzard, so I hope the Hunter has some sort of stabilizing system intergrated (we can only hope they will eventually sort out that rediculous turbulence, granted it's realistic and I've learned how to deal with it, but it's damn annyoing when you're trying to take aerial pictures!) The FLIR aspect actually sounds fun. c:

 

But the thing I'm most looking forward to is the Casino opening... we'll get it eventually, right? :I

First you were pissed off about being there whilst openly admitting to cheating.

 

Now you'll be pissed if they don't remove you from the cheaters pool.

 

The beauty of the cheaters pool is, you get to see how cheating affects the game for other people. They should throw you all in the prison for a week.

 

Speaking of the prison, I'd like to see that expanded upon or actually come into play online. I heard a while back there was a decent level of detail in unaccessible parts making it seem as if it's been blocked off/cut.

I had enough money for all future updates, that's why I'm pissed. 30M is enough for a person that rarely gets into gun fights in free roam.

The prison WILL be used in a Story Mode DLC. I think it will involve Trevor breaking his mother out.

I have a feeling this isn't going to be the case but it might be 2 dlcs in one. The leaked code found a few days ago said "DLC PACK," and usually if you have a pack it's more than one. I highly doubt they would release two dlcs, but because of so much hype for this release it might be the case.

"DLC Pack" doesnt mean multiple DLCs. It will be one DLC. Could it have a multitude of rumored content combined? Sure. But it will still be just one DLC and its not too likely to be a "combined" mega pack. Thats just a place holder to keep the leak contained until the last possible minute.

I think there will be something, but if hiests were ready surely they would say!? Then again maybe they aren't confident enough in case the CEO says they need more shark card money first! Come September though GTA online will have been out nearly a year without the main component being available, it's just sad that it's such a great idea but has been executed so so poorly.

I wouldn't say Online has been executed 'so poorly' but it hasn't been executed to perfection, but this was an ambitious project from Rockstar, something unlike they've done ever before. It was never going to be flawless.

What they have done however is laid the groundwork for something unfathomable over the next few years. Once PC & Next Gen come out, expect there to be a proliferation of DLC.

I think they're truly on the cusp of something amazing and I can't wait to marvel at what they have planned.

Im not so sure that releasing heists only for next gen would be good for their business. I predict community backfire

The sad thing is the same people making those comments would end up buying it again just for heists - legs already open for butt hurt appreciated. Excuse would be "meh i was gonna buy it anyway"

I mean, if someone already has an Xbox 360/PS3 and doesn't play many games except GTA, why would they buy a new console just to play the same game but with better graphics ? There should be something exclusive on Next-Gen so people who already bought the old version wanna buy it again. I'm not interested in buying a Next Gen until 2015, but if the new GTA adds heists and other exclusive content, I might buy it, also because I wanna play some exclusive Next Gen games, but I'm too cheap to buy it right now, waiting for sales.

Ok, i can predict that by xmas i will buy a ps4, and gta v ps4 will be out by then. I will most likely trade my ps3 in to get some money off too. So my ps3 copy is already defunct? In just a year? $60 for a year - then another $60 for a new edition. Nah im sorry but i value my money more than Rockstar.

 

And these gamestops btw you buy the damm game for $60 new and by now if i was to trade it in for the new one they will give me $3 for it. It just aint right. Gta V is not THAT good for me to trade it all in when i have dragons crown, RDR, metal gear rising, bayonetta, tomb raider, deus ex, dead island etc. f*ck that. Im not even done with my said games and i bought some of them over 2-3 years ago.
