My One hope for next gen.

I read here at some point that Rstar mentioned more destructible environment will be part of next gen. It's my hope that they will incorporate more interiors into the Game, as well as destructible buildings. With the graphics, peds, and traffic being punched up, I still don't think they would be pushing the next gen console ( or PC ) versions of GTA V to hard. Lets face it, we're beyond the generation where buildings are textured on the outside with nothing inside. I know no one is really excited about tossing down full price for GTAV again but if the online has half the graphics of The Core game on next gen this should be plausible.

In short we should be going from this ( I'm aware is not GTA V, but couldn't find Image suitable image ):

To this( obviously not GTA but I'm sure you get the idea ):

Actually my assumption when someone said that we would see more destructible environment was like in the heist trailer where the bank truck goes into a wall, and it would be certain sections like that in the game. But I still want to hope beyond that.

Worst Idea of 2014 should be your forum award.

Is it really that bad to have a constantly changing landscape that is affected by players? I assume it would reset every so often if this happened.

This idea is stupid as f*ck

This, over everything else? Seriously? The sandwiches idea was better than this, and I hated the sandwiches idea

Ignore them. Some members on this forum will bitch and moan over any proposal that isn't casinos or mansions.

I for one would welcome a more destructible environment. Maybe not to the extent of your second picture in the OP, but I would appreciate it if I could at least drive through those pesky wooden posts. :*(

With the psychotic people who okay this game (not played like an MMO), the City would look like a MOAB had landed in it, in less than 5mins.

Imagine a building gets destroyed and slowly over time it turns into a construction site which then eventually turns into the same building again.

I initially thought that this was why all the construction projects were shown in the game trailers.

I'm aware lol, I don't expect everyone to agree or even most, but it was just something I thought would make the game more interesting in between micro DLC's we've gotten.

I'll play CoD if I want a destroyed landscape.

This is kind of the way I was thinking. It would add a lot to the plate from what we are use too. When running with a bounty a street might be completely cut off due to a hole in the road or something having fallin in the way of traffic. Of course we might see traffic jams with the added traffic anyway.

Hidden Zombie

It's a fine idea, who wouldn't enjoy more realism to the game. Problem is, I think most people here are setting the bar WAAAAY too high for the next release. I would advise people to not hold their breath for leaps and bounds. But it's great wishlist material. Better then "more interiors."

i really liked the destructable buildings in the "Mercenaries" game serie, i think something like that could work in gta, but i just dont see that happening, atleast not in V.

Black Terminator

I don't think that will be in the next gen, sorry Op.

This is a good idea, however think about if they raise the player count.

Yeah. It would be total mass chaos. And that's not a GTA game in my book.
