San Andreas is a blatant rip off of several classic West Coast hip hop tracks, though I'd say it wins this one.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

I have to say that V's theme tune (if you can call it that) is pretty poor compared to pretty most of the other GTAs in my opinion. It's just bland and forgettable. The rest of score is much better though, especially the Tangerine Dream stuff. I really like the loading screen music.

So, SA's obviously.

Vice City's and IV's Soviet Connection are my favourites.

SA soundtrack has really nice atmosphere with feeling that you really are in campton in 90's.
While V, it's not bad but meh.

I think I've listened to the SA theme way too much throughout the years. Kinda became tiresome to listen to. V's theme still sounds fresh, so I'll go with that for now.

GTA V Is On PC

SA has that gangsta feel in it's theme song, while Gta 5's theme song sounds like a rich person rubbing themselves with dollar bills.

I'm totally imagining Michael bathing with all his heist money right now.

Can i like both?

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.

Basically, you cannot like things equally on GTA Forums. You MUST have a favourite, and it's not allowed to be anything connected to V.

I really really like the san andreas one, V doesn't even compare, V is really bad, so bad i try to forget it.

But you just asked if you can like both...

Doesn't that imply that you do like both?

I'm missing the sarcasm, aren't I?

@AndyC-M - They're not theme songs.. they're just songs you find on the radio and sometimes used in the game or trailers.

Not sure why you can only pick between San Andreas and V, but if you ask me V has a better soundtrack than San Andreas despite it being the messy clusterf*ck that it was.

BUT.. if I could pick from any GTA, it'd easily be Vice City.

I prefer San Andreas', and I don't even like San Andreas. The thing is, you barely even heard V's theme. It's hard to remember it has one.

i would have liked the gta v theme song if we heard it during the loading screen instead of just once in the opening.

even gta 4 had a variation of the theme song in the loading screen, but gta v had some bootleg space ambiance sh*t during the loading screen.

remember when we thought this song was the theme. i would have prefered it, sounds beautiful, like a sunny day in los santos.

i love tangerine dream and even before the game came out i always said what if tangerine dream made the theme song, but i think it was a combination of the artists that messed it up. i just dont feel like the electronic ambiance fits gta. we need strings and orchestra.

even the songs that play during missions or shootouts sound repetitive.

from 1:30 to 2:00 in the gta v theme song should have been the loading screen music

What do you mean electronic ambiance? Are you talking about the loading screen music specifically? I haven't actually had a chance to hear it through to the end, since my 360 headset volume is quite low. But the only real electronic influences i can remember off of the top of my head are some of the diving and flight school tracks.

The L.S Mob track is nice, but I think it sounds way too similar to IV's theme at some parts.

Yes. The loading screen music should have been the theme or a variation of the theme. I barely remember the actual theme song because it only plays in the first mission. Instead we have the ambiance track playing during the loading screen that should have been one of the free roam songs

I agree. I always thought driving around with the radio off should cause an ambient track to start playing, as with flying. The loading theme, with some tweaks, could do just fine for that.

A more calm and less loud version of "Welcome to Los Santos" would have been great for the loading screen. It'd certain fit the new artwork layout. However, I think the theme is catchy enough not to be forgettable. It's certainly easy to whistle to.

I most say grand theft auto v because san andreas sounds like some 90's songs mixed up.

San Andreas. But if I could pick from all Liberty City Stories is the best.

III > all

Given those choices, i guess San Andreas, as it holds a nostalgic value. I don't like neither, though.

Can't even remember V's theme, it's not that bad but it's also nowhere near as good as any others in the series
