Anyone ever heard of Miles Prower?

Evening drive song right here:

This one feels unique for me. Don't know why, but I would call it... progressive synthwave. Great track:

For those who want to get more information about certain artists in the synthwave scene, check out Beyond Synth with Andy Last. He has talked with lots of different artists in the scene such as Sellorekt/LA Dreams, Magic Sword, Kristine, Perturbator and Sunglasses Kid.

Especially Sunglasses Kid has made some wonderful synthpop songs:

Two movies that packed a LOT of great synth music were The Guest and Cold in July. I suggest fans of synth stuff check those soundtracks out. This one is in Cold in July.

Don't know why I haven't really commented this thread. While I am big into heavy metal, my other love is anything 80's sounding, especially anything synth heavy. Any fans of John Carpenter's scores? I like to consider him one of the forefathers of this type of music.

Isn't there a synth pop song using that same melody? I definitely heard that already.

Some Photosynthesi to enjoy the weekend. :p

Lazerhawk rocks!

Yep, could be my favorite artist of all.

I really dig all these fan-made music videos:

Yeah, this one for Lazerhawk's Overdrive is great.

Or this.

Neros77's videos in general are great, even though I hear more through NewRetroWave's and ManiaSynth's collection, you got to admire the good work he does cutting and editing those videos together.

Lazerhawk is deece.

If I want a go-to Synth tune though I go with Dance with the Dead, Scattle, KFDDA, Power Glove, Pertubator, Sellorekt/LA Dreams, or Mega Drive. Money shots.

Riddlis and Le Nectar are growing on me too.

Here a couple from some of the aforementioned... Haven't posted a lot of KFDDA yet..

I finally listened through the FC 3: Blood Dragon soundtrack, should have done it much sooner. I love it.

Another artist to be introduced into my Synthwave collection, good lord. This is officially my favorite music genre.

Yes, but that was a few years back. I definitely need to watch it again, especially after seeing that scene... I like the game's version of the song more though.

Yep, I bought it for PC last year. Awesome game and awesome soundtrack, campaign could have been a bit longer though.

Hotline Miami 2 is coming next month, can't wait to play that. The leaked soundtrack looks promising.

So I just watched the Guest and I was so happy to hear a familiar song in the movie:

The whole soundtrack is very 80s synth heavy. If you guys don't know, it's a 80s style thriller that released last year. With a name like "The guest" though, the movie didn't get a lot of attention.

Shame that song isn't in the actual game.

The guest looks promising, Cold In July is another great 80's inspired movie, it's actually set in the late 80's:

Those tracks should say enough. I still have to watch both movies. This whole 80's revival in music and especially film is slowly gathering more and more attention and recognition.

I very much liked the Guest. I think fans of Drive will enjoy it though it is in many ways a different type of film. The Guest is more of a straight up homage to 80s cinema. Hadn't heard of Cold in July btw. I've lately noticed that I enjoy thriller movies in general quite a bit so I'll probably be checking it out.
