They're the new players in town -- the TV Players. Take a deep, long listen and let your mind drift to a place that is not off of this realm of psychical consciousness.

And while you're there - where ever 'there' might be - savor the moment while it lasts.

Enjoy, guys and gals.

A bit of an oddball but a nice one

Malo seems largely experimental and non-consistant imo, but that isn't to knock  their effort, maybe more reason to check them out

Love both, intro to Bad Dream Baby really energizes me and OSC's track is so upbeat, I can't help but smile.

I saw that Luigi linked FutureSounds Volume 3 in the description, so i decided to follow it. Was pleasantly surprised by the first two tracks:

Mainly instrumental, but the few lyrics really give it that melancholic feel

Great electric guitar in this one

Yeah, ever get that feeling that some songs just deserve to be played on the radio - to get some mainstream recognition? There are some absolute bangers out there with sometimes not even 5k views, it just feels unfair sometimes. One example for me is:

oh, and a new upload by Mitch Murder. Strangely melancolic for him:

Wyndsrfr is a pretty small band with a small output, but most of what they've come out with are pretty good chill and atmospheric tunes. I must say the one you picked is definately one I'll be going back to when the weather turns in May and certainly one worth radio time. Kind of puts me in mind of Elbow's break through song 'One Day Like This'.

As For Mr Murder I don't like it TBH. I can't really explain why, whether its the context or whether it just comes across as phone music. In any case a bit of a mis-step by Mitch imo.

Here's a darkly atmospheric one that could be a bit marmite, but it works quite well imo

Taking of brood, Here's a pretty good one

@Cudwieser Now that 2019 has ended, any songs that stood out for you this year? My biggest discoveries are probably PRIZM and Highway Superstar.

Two girls (sisters?) whose vocals give songs that extra oomph, I really dig it. The medley above of songs from The Midnight and FM-84 is definitely in my top 5 of the year.

I was already familiar with a few songs from Highway Superstar, but Slow Motion is probably their best work yet. Melancholic synthwave can be truly beautiful, the lyrics still give me goosebumps.

Honestly I can't really pick a particular song, thanks to finding so many excellent songs and compositions. I'll start by citing all, but One particular artist that has enthralled me is NINA. Admittedly I found her much sooner by she has gone from strength to strength. This being one of the best so far

Another one I've been deep diving into and again had found prior to last year was Dana Jean Phoenix. Another angelic voice like NINA and just a prolific. Here she is with a staple of synthwave/pop, Timecop 83

Given the amount still out there and the broad amount of staples I must admit It has been a glut of a year, hence going off script here and a stubborn refusal to keep it tight. Gunship brought us this opus, something different for them, but certainly one with their signature tone

Finally a mention to Wolf Club. Another staple to the genre and one that's gone from strength to strenght, but I'll finish with a mention to the up and comers and the smaller composers as it's becoming harder to find footing and praise. One small artist that has become a guilty pleasure and one worth praise are these guys
