Alpha Demigod
I don't if many have noticed this, but underwater you cannot fire weapons or anything but you CAN draw your knife and actually slash it. Why is this in the game? It is never mentioned. It is not a glitch, where the knife is available by oversight. The animations are all very different from land melee and fluid in their design, as if these knife moves were specially made for underwater. It's undeniable that somebody sat at a desk and prepared the animations and code for this. So surely it has/had a purpose. My theories: - We have the possibility to fight back against sharks instead of getting eaten by them (has anyone tried this?) - There was originally an underwater mission which involved an offensive phase, maybe stabbing a guy. So far all underwater missions are passive swimming. - Killing fish was originally planned, but removed. Add your own possibility on why this underwater combat is in the game, and what purpose it could have had (or still has) below. Perhaps rummaging through "The GTAV Beta Hunt" is in order. Apex
1. You can fight back against sharks, pretty random and annoying though. 2. They probably animated those moves for GTA Online originally.
