Was looking at him in replacement for Giroud (and upgrading Januzaj to Gerrard) but I thought against it.

 

Will leave it a few weeks. Got half a mill play in it so should be ok.

I know I got rid of Eriksen and put Shelvey on, so I could replace Naismith with Lukaku. I needed a strong attacking force and I think I've got one there.

Funny you should say that Cacti, I actually took Valencia and Davies out of my team and with the change in prices I was able to put in Bojan and Kompany. I'm very happy with that trade up.

Shame Valencia has this match fitness issue looming over him (according to the FPL site..), cause I was pretty exciting to get him in my team quickly, but 7.0 is too much to risk not playing..

 

re: Bojan, I was on the fence about him at first, but he's been banging in goals for fun in these friendlies, so it's not like he's having trouble fitting into the team. With that kind of form and price, you can't afford not to have him I expect him to have a confident start to his first English season!

 

I cannot decide on Hazard, though. High price, great last season, but I can't help but feel like it'll be a very different Chelsea this year with Costa being the focal point up front. He'll get his fair share of points, sure, but I don't think it'll come close to what he produced last season. Tempted to offload him for some stronger strikers.

 

What are your thoughts on big man Yaya Toure this year?

Changed to a 4-3-3 formation

Put Bojan instead of Lambert and Shelvey in the subs, with Lukaku, Rooney and Bojan on attack.

Yeah I am happy as he looks like a proper athlete which is what our team was lacking last year. Hopefully he'll adapt well to the prem, be played in his proper position and start banging them in. I just think for fantasy football he's maybe too much of a risk with the fitness/adapting issue. And, as Cacti said, 7mil is a lot of money for that sort of gamble.

True, he's def among the best mids around, but I feel like his points total was a bit freakish last season, and can't see him replicating that again. Along with this price tag of 11.0, I've opted to ignore him.

Barkley injured and Pulis getting sacked has caused some last minute frantic changes in my team. Not happy now.

Yeah I made some last minute changes to mine last night. Not really sure if it's going to pay off. I got rid of Lukaku which I may regret but we'll see, Managed to shove Sanchez in and replaced Ward with Vlaar as I can't see Crystal Palace being as good as last year defensively.

Since the season has started and I have nothing to hide anymore, this is it.

 

 

Quite glad that I jumped off the Bojan hype-train at the last minute. If Terry or Lovren can keep a clean sheet I'll consider it a decent first gameweek.

14 points so far, my choices all bombed yesterday. Chambers was f*cking awesome in the game but a tactical yellow (stopping a dangerous break) and a generally scrappy game by Arsenal ruled any decent points. Shame, he was MotM for me IMO.

Hah good call. Man Yaya was anonymous today. Now on 29 with one to go. Not a good week. Didn't help I subbed Vlaar for Figueroa last thing and lost out on 6 points.

Sitting in a respectable 4th after this week. Clyne, Sterling, Sanchez and Sturridge doing most of the work but honourary mentions to Kompany and Debuchy.

 

Now is always the difficult decision of when to make transfers for next week. You don't want to jump the gun and miss any injury news or other developments.

My five-man midfield crushed it, barring Eriksen, but I'll be sticking with him for a couple weeks. Wish I could say the same about my defense, I got like 7 points total from 3 defenders + keeper

 

Southampton have a nice run of fixtures coming up, so even if you don't have Clyne, pretty much any of their relatively cheap defenders could prove valuable.

Well that's not the system's fault for not knowing the starting XI There's a risk involved when selecting your team, and choosing players who are more or less nailed on is entirely up to you.
