Money Messages Mod

This modification restores some early left behind code found in Grand Theft Auto III which had money amounts display in game after blowing up vehicles, picking up money, etc, just as it displayed in older GTA titles such as Grand Theft Auto and GTA2. The same code was left in Vice City too, so the modification re-enables this feature there aswell.

Money pop-ups will now show when:

• Picking up a money pickup (III/VC)
• Hitting a vehicle with another vehicle (III)
• Blowing up a vehicle (III)
• Destroying a police helicopter (III/VC)

Installation is easy as pie. Extract archive content to your VC directory or mss directory and that's all.
Changes will take effect automatically.

The code is not present in SA and I'm not sure if it's worth the effort, seeing how it'd show ONLY when picking money up.

Well i think it would complement the gameplay nicely even if it only shows when picking money up, but if it's way too complicated don't even bother with it, anyways having it avaiable in III and VC is already something really awesome, little things like this is what makes a big difference in the end, good job .

That's pretty cool, but Modeling Man released a mod like this for GTA3 maybe 5 years ago, so you are a bit late Looking forward to try this on VC though.

What a shame that R* actually disabled this feature.. It fits to the GTA 3D Era really nicely.

I think he wants them to show only if you pick up money from pedestrians, but that sounds stupid.
