urix Posted January 5, 2003 Share Posted January 5, 2003 so lets all be totaly honest here, since GTA3 who has acctualy stuck with the overhead view from the original games? are there any of the eleet few left that still do? i know i dont since GTA3's great 360degree interface i havent even seen in the overhead view. faustianbargain Posted January 5, 2003 Share Posted January 5, 2003 I used that view some in GTA 3 but it was nice to have it as an option, I am disappointed that they took it out in Vice City. wildstyler2002 Posted January 6, 2003 Share Posted January 6, 2003 Well, the controls in the original GTA were different to GTA3's. In the original, X was forward/accellerate, and Triangle was back/reverse. The controls for GTA1 would have made it easier to use the overheadview. without it, it just doesn't seem right. tuff_luv_capo Posted January 6, 2003 Share Posted January 6, 2003 I hated the overhead view simply because of all the obstructions, like bridges and what not that made gta3 great in 3d. I never knew if I was gonna get busted or what if i was under a brige or something. Also, the way he runs in overhead view looked cheasy, like in gta2 or gta. but that's just my opinion.
