^ This. the Collector's Edition stuff is merely a novelty at best; the only decent thing out of the package is the Hotknife, and that's purely for cosmetic reasons, as the car handles like a fridge on roller-skates.

I like what Destiny is doing with its editions. The digital content for all special is an exclusive skin for the ghost character, an exclusive ship, an exclusive emblem and the season pass for the game. All of those are cosmetic items. I have never seen a better collector's edition. Do I have to point out how lame GTA V's physical content is?

 

Every nonstandard edition gets this digital content and the importance is the physical content. They even offer a Digital Deluxe Edition that you can download which is the game with this content. Just look at the link.

I don't want to see the exact CE/SE content up for sale, but cosmetic variants of them would be ok by me.

 

Maybe a Shiv-Rod, Carbon RSX (Sounds like "arse sex"), and a Khameleon Cabrio.

 

They'd all be the same performance-wise as the CE versions, but the Shiv-Rod would be a rusty version of the Hotknife, the Carbon RSX would come with various liveries instead of plain carbon, and the Khameleon Cabrio would just be a convertable Khameleon.

 

CE owners would still have something unique, and non-CE owners would be able to get at least an alternate version of the CE stuff.
