No, this is not a thread about which one is better. It's about the differences and similarities since it was made by the same developers and is set in the same city

Well MC LA is a driving sim and the map is a lot smaller, so of course the graphics are going to look cleaner as they have more resources to spare.

I'm willing to admit that the car exteriors look pretty great in V as well.

Gta have all physics when on foot, the localized crash effects, the explorable area and so much things...

Of course that the graphics in some things should be better on mcla..

By the way, i was playing mcla again and complaining about the lack on on board view in V, but... Well, there a lot of factors that influences on the game... But gtav with that graphics in on board cam... Would be awesome!

Edit: even when in 3rd view camera, the details inside the cars are very very good!

I'm not a big racing game fan and still found MC more fun to drive around in than GTAV.

Well MC LA is a driving sim

There's nothing "sim" about MC:LA.

On topic: The Los Angeles in MC:LA did feel a hell of a lot more lively than the one in V, and the vibe was definitely SoCal feeling. The vibe I get in V is big mess and overall feels superficial. Also, MC:LA has much better car customization options.

Interesting how much MC LA cockpit view looks so similar to the "3D HUD" shown in the PS4 teaser trailer of V...

Wait how do I drive incockpit view?

Gta customization is not to be compared with mcla

Initially I felt like los santos was the mcla map, just retouched..

Had way more fun with MCLA than anything in GTAV.

"crews"? pfft, f*ck their shiity crew system. oh, i get a crappy overpriced colour and tiny blurry ass crew emblem? PFFFT.

MCLA was way better. instead of 5 mins paying 25 grand on a sh*tty crew emblem, we could spend hours making detailed recreations of cars from NFS, Le Mans cars, film cars, all sorts. It's way better to cruise around in a car you spent time on actually making.

The difference is in MCLA, you spend hours being creative and making the cars, so you can cruise around in public free-mode with your new car.

In GTAV, you spend hours grinding rooftop rumble so you can buy the sh*tty low poly car and its underwhelming customisation options, so you can drive around with the sh*tty driving physics and wonder why you spend your sh*tty time on such a sh*tty game.

Dude, I'm honestly getting tired of your baseless replies and why do you even post? Literally everybody knows what you're going to say because it's always in V's favor.

Drill Sergeant

The both have the same switching scenes where the camera zooms out of the map and zooms in on a different place.

Also midnight club is canceled and GTA isn't. Why did Rockstar San Diego have to go?

Why did Rockstar San Diego have to go?

WHAT?!!!!

Note:San Diego is still active,i think you mean Rockstar Vancouver merging with Toronto? anyway that article came out before RDR and UND,so it rumours, plus San Diego helped North abit during V's development (for wildlife and countryside)...Even though they did (which they did not),the Midnight Club IP is owned by Rockstar Games,so a future game could be developed by any of their 8 studios around the world.

There is even job listings on their website:

http://www.rockstargames.com/careers/openings/rockstar-san-diego

This is why you should never trust a gaming site or their bullsh*t articles folks :)

Because MC and GTA IV is on PC! And GTA V is still waiting to be on PC. PC graphics dude.

Also midnight club is canceled and GTA isn't. Why did Rockstar San Diego have to go?

MCLA isn't on PC. That's a console screenshot.

It's annoying when people who know nothing about a subject, barge into a topic and act like they know what they're talking about.

"driving sim"

"pc graphics"

"gtav better customisation"

This is a topic for those that have actually played MCLA. Get out.

Well simply MCLA was obviously better in terms of graphics since you were always in your car, no walking physics what so ever. But customization was better in MCLA ( if rockstar got up off their asses and place a viny creator/editer in LSC then GTA V could have good customization aswell)

Of course r* is saving all of the good stuff for future titles. Like anyone remember gtaiv? Compare that with v. Same thing here, a lot of features are saved for later, watch gta6 have a vynil editor, nitrous, hydros etc. A longer story, melee improvements, actual fun and worthwhile activities/rewards. Idk just guessing. Oh and dual wield (pistols sawed-offs uzis) WTF ever happen to dual wield??

Whilst it's interesting to compare both games; they both have replicas of the real thing; although Midnight Club's should technically be a bit more accurate since that is branding itself as "Los Angeles" rather than GTA's "Los Santos".

Has anyone done a GTAV vs Real life comparison? Now that is something I'd like to see!

Back in May the info I got was that a lot of people from Rockstar Toronto left, I don't know the reasons but if that was true that means Rockstar is pushing the limits of their teams.
