Fox_McLeith
there's something about moving all the music files to the hard drive and correfcting a line some where in a config. file that makes the game take tha radiostations from the hard disk instead of the cd... the you would only need your CD for verification when you start the game
BaronDark
There is a company that makes a cleaner/polisher to repair scratches...it works for any CD media. Here is the link: DVD Dr. I bought one a few months ago, and it is awesome. I even saw them at Walmart...
Picolini
one thing, fox, what the f*ck are you talking about you f*cking retard. nobody said one thing about moving music files, stupid sh*t. and second. my game hasn't been working for about 2-3 weeks now which is really pissing me off, but last night i finally got it to work, but it isn't working again, i'm gonna try to exchange it, but i have no receipt! hopefully i still can
NickTheGreat
Although I too feel fox has sort of got the wrong idea (no PC's or hard disks here I'm afraid), there really was no need for all that swearing. I doubt the shop will exchange your game if you scratched it yourself. Not yourself exactly, but while it was in your possession - i.e. not an acci... you know what I mean. faustianbargain
2 easy solutions: Solution #1 Rent it from blockbuster (get a newer copy so it doesn't have that damn 'do not remove' sticker on it) Place your scratched disc in place of the good one, take it back and inform them the game is scratched. Enjoy your game and the free rental they give you. Solution #2 Buy another copy from Wal/K - mart Do the old switchero as stated above. Return scratched game informing them it doesn't play. Listen to short speech about how they "Aren't supposed to do this but they will this time" Enjoy game, rinse and repeat as necessary.

Dude, I work for Blockbuster (stop laughing), and that's just not cool. And "that damn 'do not remove' sticker" is only there because of a$$h0les like you. We had some idiot try to do that with a full PS2 system, except that the system he was tyying to pawn off on us was a PAL system. The retard bought it in London while on vacation, not realizing that it wouldn't play the games he bought at home. So he rented one of our systems, switched it around and tried to get a refund because it didn't work. When we went to check it out, the power cord wouldn't fit, and that's when I noticed the PAL lable. I called his parents and asked if they had been to europe recently and they said yes. I told them what had happened with the system, and that if our system was not redurned asap, we'd charge there credit card for the full replacement value. It was on our counter in 20 minutes, and we haven't seen him or his folks since. Oh, one more thing. At my store, we check each disc before it goes out and coment the account, so that if it comes back scratched the customer is charged for repair/replacement. Merry Christmas! faustianbargain
P.S. Don't take the game to the Blockbuster that max_damage78 works at. It sounds like he is pretty knowledgeable so go to a different store.

SolidCheat
Heh heh. Max, how the hell can you tell if a new scratch was made on a disc that is comprised of about 250 scratches? (from what I've seen, anyways.) Try cleaning the disc first, then get a repair kit. Good investment.
